If you can be bothered to read through all this, this is the WHOLE beginning of Half-Life 2 up until when Gordon finally stops teleporting from the faulty teleport.

Half-Life 2 Intro/Beginning Sequences:

[Half-Life 2] (Fades onto Screen then Fades out)

[Music Plays ? HL2 intro.mp3)

G-Man: "Rise and shine, Mr. Freeman. Rise and shine. Not that I wish to imply that you have been sleeping on the job. No one is more deserving of a rest. And all the effort in the world have gone to waste until ? well, lets just say your time has come again. The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world. So, wake up, Mr. Freeman. Wake up and smell the ashes.?

[You now take control of Gordon Freeman for the first time on the Train]

Black-Man: ?I didn?t see you get on?. ?This is my third transfer this year?.
White-Man: ?No mater how many times I have been relocated, I never get used to it?.

[train Halts and the Train doors open]

Black-Man: ?Well, end of the line?.

[As you walk out a Scanner takes a picture of you and flies away]

Breencast: ?Welcome, welcome to City 17. You have chosen or been chosen to re-locate to one of our finest remaining urban centres. I thought so much of City 17 that I elected to establish my administration here in the Citadel so thoughtfully provided by our benefactors. I have been proud to call City 17 my home. And, so whether you are here to stay or passing through on your way to parts unknown, welcome to City 17. It?s safer here?. [This repeats every now and again]

Metro-Cop: ?Move away, move away?.
White-Man: ?But this stuff, it?s all I have left?.
[Metro-Cop shoves the White-Man into his luggage]
Metro-Cop: ?Move along, move it!?
White-Man: ?All right. I?m moving, jeez?

[You approach a fence with a turnstile and enter]

Woman: ?Were you the only ones on that train??
Woman: ?Overwatch stopped our train in the woods and took my husband for questioning. They said he?d be on the next train. I?m not sure when that was. They?re being nice, though, letting me wait for him?.

[Proceeding, you enter a large waiting room/cafeteria]

Man at Table: ?Don?t drink the water. They put something in it to make you forget. I don?t even remember how I got here?.
Distraught man: ?? always departing but they never arrive ? and the ones that do arrive ? they never leave ? you never see them go they?re always full ? no one ever gets on but they?re always ?? [Repeats]
White-Man: ?I see they took your suitcase too! They can?t get away with this much longer!?
Black-Man: ?I?m working up the never to go on?.

[You approach a fence with two men standing near it]

Black-Man 2: ?Dr. Breen again? I was hoping I?d seen the last of him in City 14?.
White-Man 2: ?I wouldn?t say that too loud. This is his base of operations?.

[Approaching the checking area]

Metro-Cop 2: ?You, citizen! Come with me.?
Metro-Cop 2: ?Move it?
Man 2: ?Wait a minute ??
Metro-Cop 2: ?Get in here!?
Man 2: ?Where are you taking me??
Metro-Cop 2: ?Go on!?
Metro-Cop 2: ?I said ?move?!?

[Waiting in line to wait your turn to be checked and boarded onto a train to Nova Prospekt]

Metro-Cop 3: ?Move it?.
Metro-Cop 4: (To Gordon) ?Move it?.

[Alarm sounds as you attempt to board to train to Nova Prospekt]

Metro-Cop 5: ?Don?t Move?.
[Camera Clicks/Takes pictures]
Metro-Cop 5: ?Hold it?.
Metro-Cop 2: ?You, citizen! Come with me?.

[You follow the Metro-Cop down a dark hallway]

[Noticing an open flap in a door to your left]
Man 2: ?This must be a mistake. I?ve got a standard relocation coupon, just like everybody else?.
[Metro-Cop in the room closes the flap]

[Knock, knock, knock]
[Metro-Cop inside opens the flap, closes it and unlocks the door]
Metro-Cop 2: ?Get in!?
Metro-Cop 2: ?Go on!?
[Enter Room]
Metro-Cop 2: (To Metro-Cop in room) ?Need any help with this one??
Metro-Cop 6: ?No, I?m good?.
[Metro-Cop 2 leaves the room]
Metro-Cop 6: (To Gordon) ?Back up!?
Metro-Cop 6: ?Yeah, I?m gonna need some privacy for this?.
[Disables the cameras in the room]
Metro-Cop 6: ?Now ??
[Takes his Helmet off to reveal himself as Barney]
Barney: ?? about that beer I owed ya!?
Barney: ?It?s me Gordon! Barney from Black Mesa. Hey, sorry for the scare. I had to put on a show for the cameras.? [Barney works on Console] ?I?ve been working undercover with Civil Protection. I?m way behind on my beating quota?.

[Voice comes from the screen Barney was working on]

Kleiner: ?Yes, Barney, what is it? I?m in the middle of a critical test?.
Barney: ?Sorry, doc, but look who?s here!?
Kleiner: ?Great Scott! Gordon Freeman! I expected more warning?.
Barney: ?Yeah, you and me both, doc. He was about to board the express to Nova Prospekt?.
Kleiner: ?Well, Barney, what do you intend??
Barney: ?I?m thinking, I?m thinking!?
Kleiner: ?Alyx is around here ? somewhere. She would have a better idea how to get him here?.
Barney: ?Well, as long as he stays away from checkpoints we should be okay?.
Barney: ?Listen, I gotta go, doc. We?re taking enough chances as it is?.
Kleiner: ?Very well, And, eh, Gordon? Good to see you!?

[Screen switches off]

Barney: ?Okay, Gordon, you?re gonna have to make your own way to Dr. Kleiners lab ??
[Knock, knock, knock]
Barney: ?Oh man, that?s what I was afraid of. Get in here, Gordon, before you blow my cover?.
[Barney opens a door for you and you enter]
Barney: ?Pile up some stuff to get through that window, and keep going until you?re in the Plaza?.
Barney: ?I?ll meet up with you later?.
[Knock, knock, knock]

[You pile up some boxes and jump out of the window, then through a door to the next section]. [LOADING ?]

[Proceeding, you come across a Metro-Cop who blocks your way]
[Metro-Cop knocks a can atop of a trash can to the floor with his Stun Baton]

Metro-Cop 7: ?Pick up that can?.
Metro-Cop 7: ?Pick up the can?.
Breencast 2: ?Let me read a letter I recently received. ?Dear Dr. Breen. Why has the Combine seen fit to suppress our reproductive cycle? Sincerely, A Concerned Citizen.? Thank you for writing, Concerned. Of course your question touches on one of the basic biological impulses, with all its associated hopes and fears for the future of the species. I also detect some unspoken questions. Do our benefactors really know what?s best for us? What gives them the right to make this kind of decision for mankind? Will they ever deactivate the suppression field and let us breed again?
Allow me to address the anxieties underlying your concerns, rather than try to answer every possible question you might have left unvoiced. First, let us consider the fact that for the first time ever, as a species, immortality is in our reach. This simple fact has far-reaching implications. It requires radical rethinking and revision of our genetic imperatives. It also requires planning and forethought that run in direct opposition to our neural pre-sets.
I find it helpful at times like these to remind myself that our true enemy is Instinct. Instinct was out mother when we were an infant species. Instinct coddled us and kept us safe in those hardscrabble years when we hardened our sticks and cooked our first meal above a meagre fire, and started at the shadows that leapt upon the cavern?s walls. But inseparable from Instinct is its dark twin, Superstition.
Instinct is inextricably bound to unreasoning impulses, and today we clearly see its true nature Instinct has just become aware of its irrelevance, and like a cornered beast, it will not go down without a bloody fight. Instinct would inflict a fatal injury on our species. Instinct creates its own oppressors, and bids us rise up against them. Instinct tells us that the unknown is a threat, rather than an opportunity. Instinct slyly and covertly compels us away from change and progress. Instinct, therefore, must be expunged. It must be fought tooth and nail, beginning with the basest of human urges: The urge to reproduce.
We should thank our benefactors for giving us respite from this overpowering force. They have thrown a switch and exorcised our demons in a single stroke. They have given us strength we never could have summoned to overcome this compulsion. They have given us purpose. They have turned our eyes toward the stars.
Let me assure you that the suppressing field will be shut off on the day that we have mastered ourselves ? the day we can prove we no longer need it. And that day of transformation, I have it on good authority, is close as hand?.
[You pick up the can the Metro-Cop purposely dropped]
Metro-Cop 7: ?Now, put it in the trash can?.
[You place the can in the trash can]
Metro-Cop 7: ?Alright, you can go. *chuckle*?.
Metro-Cop Radio: ?Reporting citizen summoned to voluntary conscription for general service public detail T94-322?.

[Proceeding, you see a queue for a City 17 Clothes Dispenser]

Queuing Man 1: ?We can?t be seen talking to each other?.
Queuing Woman: ?If I talk to you out here, we?ll both be in trouble?.
Queuing Man 2: ?You?ll have to wait your turn like everybody else?.

[Continuing, you eventually open a door to step out onto the Plaza]
[Music Plays ? HL2 song26.mp3]

Plaza Woman: ?New in town aren?t ya??
Plaza Man: ?We can?t be seen talking to each other?.
Plaza Woman 2: ?I?d like to help you, but it?s out of the question?.
[Approaching a slightly open door to you left while continuing]
Metro-Cop 8: ?Move it!?
Plaza Man 2: ?Word to the wise: keep it to yourself?.

[In front of you a Strider passes a Metro-Cop blockade - you need to find an alternate route]
[You see a ladder to your right before the blockade and climb it over the fence into the next street]
[In the next street you see another blockade to your right with Citizens stretched out on the wall and one on the floor bleeding]
[Going to your left you see apartments in front of you]

Man 3: ?This is how it always starts, first a building, then the whole block?.
Man 4: ?They have no reason to come to our place?.
Man 3: ?Don?t worry, they?ll find one?.
Man 3: ?If you?re looking for a place to stay, you better keep going?.
Man 4: ?Just be glad you don?t live there?.
[You approach the apartments but Metro-Cops block the way, you go through the side door instead]. [LOADING]

[You proceed up the stairs]

[Knock, knock, knock, knock]
[Knock, knock, knock, knock]
[Metro-Cop kicks the door down]

Metro-Cop 9: ?Don?t move?.
Metro-Cop 9: ?603, unlawful entry?.
[Combine Radio requests backup]
[Pain sounds]

[You go through the doorway to your right]

Drunken Man: ?Was that you knocking? I didn?t even know we still had a door?.
[Approach a man and a woman at the windows as Dr. Breen casts on the nearby television]
Black-Man 2: ?Oh, I thought you were a cop?.
Woman: ?He?s one of us?.
Black-Man 2: ?Look at them down there?. [Combine can be seen running on the street below]
Woman: ?I told you they?d be coming for us next?.
Black-Man 2: ?Just this once I hope you?re wrong?.
[Combine vehicle pulls up outside in the street below]
[An alarm sounds]

[You go through another doorway to your right]

Upset Woman: ?I can?t take it anymore?.
Man: ?Everything?s going to be ok?.
Upset Woman: ?What are we going to do??
Man: ?We?ll think of something?.
Upset Woman: ?When is it all going to end??
Man: ?Don?t worry?.
Upset Woman: ?Please!?
Man: ?It?s all right?.
[Woman begins to sob]

Warning Voice: ?Attention residents! Miscount detected in your block. Co-operation with you Civil Protection team in full or rash reward?.

[You precede up some more stairs and a Metro-Cop blocks your way back]

Man at Doorway: ?Psst! Hey you! In here!?
[You enter the room]
[Combine Radio: Alert]
Man: ?Head for the roof! There?s no time to lose!?
Man 1: ?Civil Protection!?
Woman: ?Run for your life!?
Man 2: ?CPs
Woman 2: ?Here they come?.
Man 2: ?Help!?
[You run from Civil Protection heading for the roof, you approach a door]
Man at Door: ?Get in here! Quick!?
[The man blocks the door with himself ? door moves as Civil Protection try to enter]
Man at Door: ?Keep moving! Head for the roof!?
Man at Door: ?Get going!?
Man at Door: ?Go on!?
[You go up some steps]. [LOADING]

[You go up some more steps and you?re in an Attic]
[Music Plays ? HL2 song27 trainstation2.mp3]

[Crash!]
Man at Door: ?Ow!?
[Pistol gunshots]
Man at Door: ?I?m hurt!?
[Pistol gunshots ? Man at door is shot down]

[As you proceed to a gap to get on the roof the Combine Soldiers shoot at you from behind]
[Gunship flies overhead]
[Scanner takes your picture]
[You run onto a thin ledge across the building side]
[Combine Radio: Alert]
[A Combine vehicle speeds past you from below when you?re on the ledge, continuing]
[Some Combine Solders shoot at you from the street below as you continue]
[Eventually, you find an open window to your right and climb into another Attic]
[As you proceed down the wooden steps, in the attic, they break and fragment stopping you from getting back up]
[You approach a door and a Metro-Cop kicks it down in front of you]
[You are approached by the Metro-Cops and knocked unconscious with their Stun Batons]
[Screen goes white]

Alyx: ?Over here!?
Alyx: ?Ha! No you don?t!?
[Pain sounds from the Metro-Cops]
[Wood breaks]
[More wood breaks]
[Pain sounds from the Metro-Cops]
Alyx: ?Hm??
[Screen fades back to normal revealing Alyx ? she helps you to your feet]
Alyx: ?Dr. Freeman I presume??
[Alarm sounds]
Alyx: ?We?d better hurry. The Combine can be slow to wake, but once they?re up, you don?t want to get in their way?.
[Alyx presses a button to call the elevator]
Alyx: ?Dr. Kleiner said you?d be coming this way. Ha, I don?t think it occurred to him that you might not have a map?,
[Elevator arrives]
Alyx: ?This way, Gordon?.
[You step into the elevator and the doors shut. Alyx presses a button to send the elevator down]
Alyx: ?I?m Alyx Vance. My father worked with you, back in Black Mesa. I?m sure you don?t remember me though?.
Alyx: ?Man of few words, aren?t you??
[Elevator stops and doors open]
[Alyx stops in front of some wall mounted electricity boxes]
Alyx: ?Remember him from Black Mesa? Your old administrator? Heh, don?t get my dad started on Dr. Breen?.
[Alyx presses a hidden switch under one of the wall mounted boxes and the wall slides open]
Alyx: ?Through here?.
[LOADING]

A RED LETTER DAY.

Alyx: ?Funny, you showing up on this day in particular?.
[Alyx types in a code on the keypad]
[Alyx jumps over a small metal fence to avoid using the stairs]
Alyx: ?We?ve been helping people escape the city on foot. It?s a dangerous route to my fathers lab, through the old canals. Today we?re finally on the verge of having a better way?.
[Alyx approaches a soda machine]
Alyx: ?Hmm?.
Alyx: ?Here. Let me buy you a drink?.
[Alyx inserts some money, presses some button and does a series of taps and bangs on the machine ? the front of the soda machine opens]
Alyx: ?Oh, and by the way? Nice to finally meet you?.
Alyx: ?Well, come on. Dr. Kleiners waiting?.

[Music Plays ? HL2 song10.mp3]

Kleiner: ?Blast that little ? where did she get to? Lamarr? Come out of there!?
Alyx: ?Uh-oh. Everything all right, Doctor Kleiner??
Kleiner: ?Oh, hello Alyx! Well almost alright. Lamarr has gotten out of her crate again. If I didn?t know better, I?d suspect Barney of trapping and ??
[Kleiner turns around and notices Gordon standing there]
Kleiner: ?My goodness! Gordon Freeman! It really is you isn?t it??
Alyx: ?I found him wandering outside. Bit of a troublemaker isn?t he??
Kleiner: ?We owe a great deal to Dr. Freeman, even if trouble does tend t follow in his wake?.
[Kleiner walks over to his desk]
Kleiner: ?I must say Gordon; you have come at a very opportune time. Alyx has installed the final piece for our resurrected teleport.
Alyx: ?I can?t take any credit for the breakthrough, Doctor?.
Kleiner: ?Nonsense. Your talents surpass your loveliness?.
Alyx: ?Lets just see if this works, ok??
[Barney arrives]
Barney: ?Well, is he here??
Barney: ?There you are!?
Barney: ?Man, Gordon! You stirred up the hive?.
Barney: ?We can?t keep him here long Doc. It?ll jeopardize everything we?ve worked for?.
Alyx: ?Don?t worry. He?s coming with me?.
Kleiner: ?That?s right, Barney, this is a Red Letter Day. We?ll inaugurate the new teleport with a double transition?.
Barney: ?You mean its working? For real this time? Because I still have nightmares about that cat?.
Kleiner: ?Now, now, there?s nothing to be nervous about ??
Alyx: ?? what cat??
Kleiner: ?We?ve accomplished major strides since then, major strides?.
Alyx: ?What cat??
Barney: ?Doc, since he?s not taking the streets, you might as well get him out of his civvies?.
Kleiner: ?What? Oh dear, you?re right, I almost forgot. Barney I?ll give you the honour?.
Barney: ?I?ve gotta get back on my shift, but okay?.
[Barney goes to keypad and opens the door]
[Hissing gas jet]
[Barney turns on the light in the room]
Barney: ?Here we go ? Ahhh!?
[Lamarr the headcrab appears and jumps on Barney]
Barney: ?Damn it! Get it off me!?
Kleiner: ?Lamarr! There you are!?
Barney: ?I thought you got rid of that pest!??
Kleiner: ?Certainly not! Never fear, Gordon, she?s de-beaked and completely harmless. The worse she might do it attempt to couple with your head. Fruitlessly!?
[Lamarr moves forwards toward Barney but stays atop of the filing cabinet]
Barney: ?Get that thing away from me!?
Kleiner: ?Here, my pet. Hop up?.
Kleiner: ?No, not up there!?
Kleiner: ?No, no! Careful, Lamarr! Those things are quite fragile!?
[Lamarr jumps into an air vent]
Kleiner: ?Oh, fie! It?ll be another week before I can coax her out of there!?
Barney: ?Yeah, longer if we?re lucky?.
Alyx: ?Barney ? you?re not an animal person??
Barney: ?Ugh!?
[Barney opens the hatch containing the HEV Suit]
Kleiner: ?Well, Gordon, go ahead. Slip into your suit now?.
Barney: ?Come on, Gordon, we don?t have time to fool around. Get your suit on?.
[You get the HEV suit on]
[Music Plays ? HL1 song11.mp3]
Kleiner: ?Well, Gordon, I see your HEV suit still fits you like a glove. At least, the glove parts do?.
Kleiner: ?I?ve made a few modifications, but I?ll just acquaint you with the essentials. Now let?s see ??
[Kleiner rummages around under his desk and pulls out a clip board]
Kleiner: ?The Mark V hazardous environment suit has been redesigned for comfort and utility ??
[Distant Siren]
Kleiner: ?Oh, dear!?
Barney: ?Doc, we don?t have time for this!?
Barney: ?At least get that suit juiced up Gordon!?
Kleiner: ?Good idea. There?s a charger on the wall. I?ve modified your suit to draw power from Combine energy outlets, which are plentiful wherever they patrol?.
[You charge the HEV suit with the Combine charger outlet]
Alyx: ?Meanwhile, let?s get this show on the road?.
[Kleiner adjusts a slanted Black Mesa personnel photo frame]
[An eye scanner appears]
[Eye scan in progress]
[Eye scan approved]
[Door opens]
[Teleport room. Kleiner takes a small lift to his console above]
Kleiner: ?Gordon, why don?t you position yourself near the panel over there and wait for my word?.
Eli: ?Isaac, are you there??
Kleiner: ?Yes, yes, Eli, bit of a hold up on this end?.
Kleiner: ?You?ll never guess who found his way into our lab this morning?.
[Eli appears on a screen]
Eli: ?That?s not who I think it is, is it??
Kleiner: ?Indeed it is. And it?s our intention to send him packing straightaway in the company of your lovely daughter?.
Alyx (In Teleporter): ?Are you ready for us, dad??
Eli: ?We?re all set on this end?.
Alyx: ?Then let?s do it?.
Kleiner: ?Let?s see. The massless field-flux should self-limit and I?ve clamped the manifold parameters to CY base and LG orbifold, Hilbert inclusive. Conditions could hardly be more ideal!?
Barney: ?That?s what you said last time?.
Alyx: ?Hey, uh, yeah. About that cat ??
Kleiner: ?Initialising in three ? two ? one ? [Power cuts off] Oh, fiddlesticks! What now??
[Barney flinches as teleport fails]
Alyx: ?Uh, Doctor? The plug??
Kleiner: ?Dear me, your right. Gordon, would you mind plugging us in??
Alyx: ?Its right there Gordon!?
[You place the plug back into the socket and the machine powers up again]
Kleiner: ?Excellent?.
Alyx: ?You going to let Gordon throw the switch??
Kleiner: ?Gordon, go right ahead?.
[You flip the switch]
Kleiner: ?Very good. Final sequence. Commencing ? now?.
Barney: ?I can?t look?.
Alyx: ?Uh ?. Okay ?. Oh ah oooh!?
[ZAP! Alyx is teleported]
Kleiner: ?Well did it work??
Eli: ?See for yourself?.
Alyx: ?Hey, Doc!?
[Alyx kisses Eli on the cheek]
Kleiner: ?Oh, thank goodness. My relief is almost palpable?.
Eli: ?Fantastic work, Izzy?.
Kleiner: ?Well I can?t take all the credit, Dr. Freeman proved an able assistant!?
Eli: ?Let?s go ahead and bring Gordon through now?.
Kleiner: ?Right you are! Speak to you again in a few moments?.
Barney: ?Great job, Gordon. Throwing that switch and all? I can see your M.I.T education really pays for itself?.
Kleiner: ?All right, Barney, your turn?.
Barney: ?Gee, thanks?.
Kleiner: ?Gordon, as soon as you?re in position we?ll send you to Eli?s?.
[Distant Siren]
Barney: ?And not a moment too soon?.
[Gordon steps into Teleporter]
[Teleport doors close and the panel rises up]
Kleiner: ?Excellent. Initialising in three ? two ? one!?
Kleiner: ?Barney? If you would be so kind??
Barney: ?Good luck out there, Gordon?.
Kleiner: ?Yes, indeed. We?re ready to project you, Gordon. Bon voyage and best of luck in your future endeavours?.
Kleiner: ?Final sequence ??
[Crash]
Barney: ?What the hell??
Kleiner: ?What is it??
Barney: ?It?s your pet, the freakin? head-humper!?
Kleiner: ?Lamarr? Hedy? No!?
[Lamarr jumps into the Teleport]
[ZAP]
[Breathing sound]
[Heartbeat sound]
[Gordon appears outside still in a state of teleportation]
[ZAP]
[Gordon teleported back to Kleiners Lab]
Barney: ?There he is!?
Kleiner: ?Is Lamarr with him??
Barney: ?Forget about that thing!?
[ZAP]
[Gordon is teleported to Eli?s Lab still in a state of teleportation]
Alyx: ?He?s coming through dad?.
Eli: ?What?s going on, Judith??
Mossman: ?I?m not sure; it seems to be some kind of interference?.
Eli: ?Gordon, stay put, we?ll get you out of there?.
Mossman: ?Something is drawing him away?.
[ZAP]
[Gordon is teleported to Dr. Breen?s office still in a state of teleportation]
[Breen is startled]
Dr. Breen: ?What?s the meaning of this??
Dr. Breen: ?Who are you??
Dr. Breen: ?How did you get in here??
[ZAP]
[Gordon is teleported back to Kleiners Lab still in a state of teleportation]
Barney: ?Hey, he?s back! I?m getting him outta there!?
Kleiner: ?You can?t just wade into the field, it will peel you apart!?
Alyx: ?We just lost Gordon! What?s going on??
Kleiner: ?I wish I knew! I?m encountering unexpected interference?.
Barney: ?Don?t worry, Gordon, we?ll ??
[ZAP]
[Gordon is teleported to Eli?s Lab still in a state of teleportation]
Alyx: ?There he is!?
Mossman: ?Ah, we?re losing him again!?
[ZAP]
[Gordon is teleported to Dr. Breen?s office still in a state of teleportation]
Dr. Breen (to a screen): ?The man I saw, I?m all but certain it was ??
Dr: Breen: (Turning to Gordon) ?? Gordon Freeman!?
[ZAP]
[Gordon is teleported into some water with a giant fish, just as it?s about to eat you Gordon teleports]
[ZAP]
[Gordon is teleported outside Kleiners Lab on a balcony near the window to the Lab]
Kleiner: ?What do you mean he?s not there??
Eli: ?He didn?t come through?.
Kleiner: ?Then, where is he??
Eli: ?Behind you!?
Kleiner: (Turns around) ?Ahhh!?
Eli: ?Shut it down! Shut it down!?
Kleiner: ?Gordon! You must get out of here run!?
[Scanner takes your picture]
[Kleiner closes the blinds for the window]
Barney: ?Get down outta sight! I?ll come find you!?
[Distant Siren]
[You run through fence openings, up some stairs and through a door to reveal the large Citadel Tower that rises into the sky]
[Distant Siren]
[Barney appears on a balcony above]
Barney: ?Hey Gordon!?
Barney: ?The Citadel?s on full alert! I?ve never seen it lit up like that! Get out of City 17 as fast as you can, Gordon! Take the old Canals right? They?ll get you to Eli?s Lab. It?s a dangerous route, but there?s a whole network of refugees and they?ll help you if they can. I?d come with you, but I?ve got to look after Dr. Kleiner. Oh, and before I forget, I think you dropped this back in Black Mesa?.
[Barney drops the Crowbar from the balcony]
Barney: ?Good luck out there, buddy, you?re gonna need it?.
[Barney goes back and through a door]

[The game starts from here on in]

[END]
