Steam recently released this trailer for the Mac OS X, however me and Headcrab looked more into it and noticed that this must be set after Episode two, if you focus on Alyx carefully she has the Hunter wounds in her back.  Valve is known for doing this type of thing to its players and I have a reason to think this may be set in HL2 Episode three.

There is evidence this also may be the borialis they was looking for, and before you decide to go "It does not look like a boat", there are plenty of pictures of the Borialis being assimulated with Combine tech.  I belive the Combine are using the Borialis to create Over Watch units as well as researching to enhance them.  However the fall backs to this trailer that makes it make no sence is, Nova prospect is destroyed and these Over Watch are wearing prision suits how ever I am convinced that this may be a location for production of Over watch due to the Emotionless faces of the Citizens as they march to the room.

Edit: I looked at the Over Watches suits carefully, I think I saw a armband instead of what it used to be, these may be designed for the borialis.

Borealis, If I don't rember wrong, Gordon and Alxy have to find it before the Combine does. So I think that have nothing to do with the Borealis. And I think it's just a trailer on to show that they expanded to new OS's.

Also The Borealis has GlaDos Parts in it or something else, Cause you can see a Aperture Science Container in a cutscene.

REALLY FUCKING EDIT: I Watched trough the video again and you see the Citizens walking on a combine bridge.
What is if this is the bridge to the Borealis where they are walking and the Combines have opened a Portal to they're homeplanet and are taking the Citizens there to turn them into Stalkers or "Combine Rookies"

I thought I would quickly do this.

Indeed Alyx and Gordon need to find it before the Combine, but it is indeed funny the fact it has been 7 years and yet the combine finaly find it yet the Resistance found it in a month.  For all you know while Gordon and Alyx are traveling to the location to find they are late, the Borialis is assimulated with the Tech.  And I highly doubt they are going to Remake HL2 EP2 just like that lol as it was their latest HL2 Product.  What gets me is the fact that you got the City speakers in the back ground yet Alyx has the huge holes in her back.

And I dont think Valve would just make this for advertisment with out thinking about it.

Eli believes, of course because it is meant to Borealis, as it reminds probably at Black Mesa.

My time jump theory is that it is not this to Borealis, special to the rocket is launched!

You wonder certainly why this is so, because the missile is indeed for the salvation of humanity through the Combine!

At this point, the theory is interesting:
Aboard the rocket is apparently yes Lamarr (you can see how he climbs into the rocket and the hatch is closed! Addition, before starting again mentioned that obesity is one of 4kg in the rocket!). Besides the silent Freeman seems to have no one noticed.
Since Eli was involved in the construction of the rocket and then makes a mistake so by making it assists to start, can the G-Man him whisper the words in his ear.

Now you're probably all what is so special about Lamarr.
Now how exactly the whole book now runs to secure anyone's guess yourself, but there are eg the possibility that Lamarr (again) on the electronics and experimented in the rocket and has thereby weggebeamt sending of files and / or close the portal has been or has traveled through time or or or ... can now really be almost anything if you fix on other dimensions or time travel.

In any event, it must be an event by which the Combine of unoriginal!
(An example would be that Lamarr on an alien planet in another dimension, long before there was the human race, was beamed, then took one organism and further developed, it was the first universal ancestor of the Advisor .... as I understand it Headcrabs are A-Sexual say Forpflanzung without sex partners ... what has possibly created a dominant species ---> the rest is evolution)

This would logically: One of the rocket destroyed by the Combine, was the own demise, what did not, however, the Combine. By starting the missile was thrown almost everything! No future, no past, and vice versa!

Maybe G-Man has no idea about all this and is simply a member of a resistance force against the Combine.
Perhaps yet and therefore the rocket stares so distrustful in the "cutscene on"!
Who knows, but I think if it was G-Man also a time traveler and all knew he would prevent it, maybe he also knows that certain things must not be changed or can!
Perhaps he was once Combine times and now resistance fighter, so he can not prevent, because otherwise he would not even exist? So he is now trying with Alyx and Gordon to fight the Combine otherwise, so that he can even go on too!

There is no evidence to say Lamarr remained on the Rocket as I am sure they would had checked the rocket over before launch. 2nd of all, how the hell has the person who made this huge statement come to the concluesion of the Headcrabs being advisers and what the fuck is this about some sort of time crap.  In other words "What the fuck"?  Nothing of it makes sence nor does it fit in correctly, it is obvious G-Man is not human and never was, and so many people look at the combine and say its a single race of humans.  The reason its called "The combine" is because it is a combination of races.  And I highly doubt GMan is a resistance fighter as he blew up black mesa with the Nuke at the end of HL1 as well as the imprisonment of Adrien Shepard and Gordon, not to mention he tried to imprision Gordon after the Citidels destructing.

Okay, To the 4kg Overweight, I Think it is Lamarr and noone checked it before the start cause Dr.Magnussen is a Combine Spy. How did the Combine know Alyx, Gordon and Eli are in the "Storage house". Dr.Magnussen told them. ALso he hates Lamarr and Dr.Kleiner thats why I also think he left Lamarr in the Rocket. A Game statement is "Even a little Crow would start the Alarm" Why didnt the Alarm started when the combines dropped ? Dr.Magnussen Deactivated it. I also think Dr. Magnussen worked some time for AS (Aperture Science) He knows Perfect Teleportation Method in how to Teleport his Magnussen Devices to the Spots. Also Hes Power Hungry, He named the Bombs after him, The Magnussen Device. And another thing is what happens maybe if Lamarr is REALLY on the Rocket, There will be unforseen Consequences cause Lamarr ALWAYS fucks stuff up that is electronic (See Hl2 Teleporter). So the ROcket could explode in the air and open a new Portal that ether leads the Combines to the Borealis or to the Combine Home Planet and they can Resupply.

Dr.Magnussen wrote it off as Technical error. One more thing for me to Believe he is a Spy working for the Combines. If you would start a Real Rocket you would have checked it before writting it off as a technical Error.

Chell destroyed GlaDoS -> Giant Portal getting you to the parking of Aperture
Borealis = Made by Aperture Science & contains weapons/technology
The borealis seems to be teleported right into the ice, since it's kinda frozen from top to ground. What if it got teleported somehow because of the explosion at Aperture Science? And who knows what it contains. It got several testing rooms and informations about weapons in the blueprints.
Maybe there's something in it.. Maybe GlaDoS v2?
Well, maybe Aperture Science has to do something with the combines..
I never noticed any combine-like things coming from the HL1 portal. Only weird dumb aliens (beside Vortigaunts). Maybe Black Mesa and Aperture Science were even working together? Look at this.



A satellite portal array? Were they expecting the combines or something? Or did they "call" them? Maybe Gordon isn't part of the reason why the combines arrived. Maybe Aperture Science is. Maybe they even.. created them..
