I want to say that I mean no disrespect to your community or users and that I did not intentionally copy you when I began HGN in Australia. It started off as "Hyper Gaming Network", whereas the "GN" (gaming network) section of it came from having servers in 2 or more games. We recently abandoned our GMod area as it was too much of a burden for just myself to run alongside school and TF2. This was then shortened to "HyperGN" and referred to as 'HGN' by the users of the community.

I understand how your users feel about a community with the same name, feeling the need to spam or attack it in some way - this is not all bad, as it's showing you that members of your community are so proud to be a part of it that they are willing to fight for it.

Again, I was not aware when I created HGN that there was already another HGN in existance. I apologise to your community and your members if this has caused problems or otherwise.

I appeciate you coming here to HGN and speaking your mind on this point of view, it's alright if you use the "HGN" but the somewhat "long" name is abit off for us, since we use it too and were using it first, if you just stick to HyperGN helps displace us apart slightly. Ive known you have existed for several months now when i came across you by one of our admins, i was quite annoyed by the factor, but the world is not perfect, and great idea's are always abundent, it's pretty amazing that such a duplicate in names could crop up. None the less no one from here should give you any grief.

Of course my members are proud of HGN, as am i, it's founded on respect, professionalism and a dream, there's not much i can say in the way to try and get you to change your name to something else, it would cause us both alot less hassle. I can't force you but i would suggest it. We have been using the name HGN aka "HyperGaming Network" for several years now, founded in 2002, back then it was "HyperGame Gaming Network", much longer, but we did away with the extra word 3 years ago. We shall see what the future holds.
