I was testing it last night with Tundruff, still lots of bugs to iron out but interesting none the less.

Yeah, I iron'd out some before I went to sleep. All that needs to be fixed is the saving. Then its done. Now im gunna go fix the YouTube thing, soo yeah. I should be fixed.


ALSO. I realized that, YOU CANT GET IN THE SERVER WITH NO LOGIN. SO Go check the DL post and dl the client, if you try to connect, ill SEE IT. And I have logs. :)

So far, i have gotten no where, but here goes.

Character Server: 100% (Saves too)
Map Server: [90%

Ragnarok Online was my first MMORPG ever. I also made a server once, played with friends bla bla bla. Oh and Tunddruff, there's a TXT Server for it, if you don't want SQL. I just can't remember where I've found it.

I know. I had one set up on txt. Buuut the server was so old that it didnt save.

So I used the SVN of it. Unfortuanetly, the code that the cmds used were so out of sync that it caused me 2 days of work to even FIGURE out what to do.

Finally I realized that I should just download an updated server all together.       Problem solved.


Now the next problem is the Client. It crashes from Sakray no longer being supported. I plan on getting my own client (aka making it myself) and none one that i found as i do not know how old it COULD be.

I fixed the IP confict that was preventing me from getting onto the server. Im trying to download RaGray to see if it will not give me sprite errors.

What's special/unique/cool about this? It looks fine, I just would like to know what it's all about. I mean, I have a working WoW Privvy server too. They look more or less the same, I dunno what the features of Ragnarok are though.

It's more or less the same, but I think the gameplay of RO is better than WoW's. Also, NPCs can't fly after you without any wings etc. >_>

Well. Its hard to explain. But its just something about the game that always draws me back.

Also, Classes aren't Classes in that game. You could create a knight who can slash faster with his sword than an assassin with his daggers, but you would lack the important strength and endurance. Means you'll have to decide HOW your character is.

Well. Its not "IM A KNIGHT LOL!! IM LVL 1" Its like, you start as a novice and learn more, gain more skills, become a job (say Acolyte), learn the right time to attack and the time to heal. Then I could become a Monk (Combat based) or a Priest (Support based) Its a hard toss up, but there are usually two jobs that do a role.

Merchant, learn to sell stuff and at what prices.
      Blacksmith, Makes weapons and sell.
      Alchemist, Makes potions, and sells

And also, the WoW Private server we had died very quickly.

This shows promise though.

Also, have you figured out how all the admin commands and interfaces (if any) work? I'de totally love to see some awesome events

Well. The client I THINK will work, I have to restart my comp so that my SVN updates and I can dl the content cause im fat :])

Ok. So its 6:31AM. Sorry to those who were playing at 1AM when my comp rebooted for updates.

Going on. I have already made a few changes to commands, and stuff. Judging from the lvls people were getting from just yesterday, the XP rate is fine at 1x/1x


Also gunna change the motd so its not "eAthena blah blah blah". Overall, I was having fun RPing, and it seem'd like other people enjoyed it too. Cause its Friday, Im gunna have the server on ALL WEEKEND. Even though ima play games like FarCry2 and shit.

I'm gonna find out more about the game before I make a difinitive character. It'll probably be somethign crazy like The Children of Atom from Fallout 3 but RP'd and fun.
