More ram better speeds?

Ok i understand the concept of ram but my computer seems to have a problem loading Large environments fast

Such as GTA 4 When i am exploring there is a slight lag in the game. when moving to another area same with

Fallout sometimes when i turn my head to look in another direction a slight lag occurs But when that is over i have like 60 FPS

My question is if i got more ram (Because i only have 2GB cause of the lazy cheap people who built this) Would this make the environments load faster?

Because it is Random access Memory.

Also would it make it so i can open files quicker?

Please help. Thanks I just find that small amount of lag really annoying

Specs:

GTX 260

AMD Athon 64 X2 6000+ @ 3.15 GB

RAM: 2GB

Windows vista home premium 32-bit

RAM would help noticeably, but I don't know how noticeably. Try it. You can never have too much RAM.

Also, try it by plugging in an empty flash drive, and use Windows Readyboost. I think it works like that.
