Yeah, like the topic says I just bought my first Joystick ever. It kinda looks like this

It's a "Cyborg X Saitek" and I bought it basically for IL-2 Sturmovik.
Do you have a joystick? If yes, which and how is it?
I'll try mine now.

I think mine is bloody good, it has a rudder control behind the throttle lever, so it's very useful for taking off and landing.
The small black round thing on the joystick itself near the 'F3' and 'F4' button is a view control. It's not a button, you can't push it but it swivels around controls the view so I don't have to reach for the mouse in a dogfight.
The joystick itself also vibrates when forced feedback is enabled, it's really annoying when I'm flying something that uses rockets or jets, so I normally turn it off.

Anyway I was tempted to buy that Joystick model, it looks like something from transformers, thus it's cool.
But mine is cheaper but just as epic.

Here's mine: The Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Not very expensive and no force feedback. I use it in BF2 and Flight Simulator... It's around $20-$50. Good joystick for what I use it for. Although I guess I'm not a Flightsim enthusiast so I don't need a crazy expensive amazing joystick.

Mine's an old piece of junk, that's at least 8 years old.

According to Yahoo's currency calculator did my joystick cost around 48 dollars... 29 pounds... 34?.
Also not that expensive.

I'm a big fan of sims so I have a Saitek X52.

Before that I had a Sidewinder Precision 2. I use my stick to play Lock On: Flaming Cliffs which almost requires a full HOTAS setup (the manual for the game is 647 pages long). I also use the stick for Mechwarrior which isn't quite as complicated. Been thinking of buying IL2 since Steam has it for only $10 but I've heard patching it can be a hassle and Lock On is certainly deep enough.

That's amazingly expensive.

The foot doesn't look very stable... I would just tilt the whole thing, lol.
