I would def. start playing on HGN's SRP on gmod again if you guys used a better and less glitchy script than whatever SRP ran on from '08-11. I would reccomend using some version of OpenAura or HL2RP thats been edited for stalker. kuromeku made some pretty kick ass roleplaying scripts back in those days and I think he still continues to at cloudsixteen.com.

What we're using now is more unfinished than RadiationScript (the script that we used in the said time), which was based on LemonadeScript and later Nexus. I suggested using ClockWork but SK is pretty staunch about most issues so you're welcome to try and convince him yourself. In other words, this is being delayed forever.

Yeah thats what its called now, Clockwork. It used to be kuroscript and cloudscript and other names in previous builds. kuromeku has always excelled at making a mostly bug free, smooth flowing and easy to use RP script. Easy to set up, many features like floating text that can be placed to mark an area, enhanced if not flawless inventory system, character saving and loading system, and permakill/ban/kick systems that worked well after a potential minge disconnects (like after punching somene afk to death). CloudSixteens scripts also feature a log system, one that tracks every thing players do from picking items up to dropping them to taking damage or dealing damage, including all text or voice communications or equipping of weapons or armor. The log system is an immensely powerful tool for server operators and admins, superadmins and even owners. The script has a great flagging system for giving players tool and prop trust as well as making players trusted, vip, operator, admin, super or more. The most fun I have had with serious RP was with kuromekus scripts, almost all of them are better than Tacoscript, Lemonade and the like. They work the best and he even has a site where you can purchase the script and have him or his team customize it (like make a stalker rp script) which is awesome. If this communitys leaders cant see the awesome potential of running a clockwork script and increasing their playerbase by 200%, and insist on using an unfinished, broken, buggy script that has never really worked well as long as it has existed, then this is probably why HGN is so vacant and the servers remain empty. Please at least consider going to cloudsixteen.com and getting their script for the SRP server. The serious RPers would flood HGNs server within minutes. There are dozens of serious HL2 and SST RP servers running this same script, and they are guaranteed to take notive if a stalker RP pops up on the server list with the other clockwork serious rp servers. A lot of these other clockwork servers are constantly pushing 64 players guys, come on!

Hi Aviator, i see you are supportive of kuromeku's work still, i suppose it still does have it's merits, although you have been-misinformed by jakes statement. You thought we still use cakescript variant, Infact you missed the point where we switched from cakescript based script, to a custom edit of Nexus (clockwork old name and superior script before .dll drm), perhaps one of the most modded versions of Nexus that had more features than clockwork to-date. We had that script for 2-3 years and it was also used for a successful HL2rp, fallout rp and Crussaria, a medieval role-play which didn't kick-off as well as it should have.

The current script (Worldscript 2) - Is a Fork of Vein (That zombie rpg script) with most of the features you listed above that i have implemented, but the script still needs more development as scripts always do, it's mostly fully functioning however and i am proud of the work i have accomplished.

In response to loki: Ok so you are using nexus which is an older version of clockwork, cool. I always liked the older versions better. You just gotta look out for people with backdoors who give themselves guns and ammo through the console on the older ones.                                     But as I was trying to say its like an eye catcher for serious role players when they see Clockwork: HL2 RP or Clockwork: Fallout RP or even Clockwork: S.T.A.L.K.E.R RP in this case. When I open up my gmod legacy server browser I sort the game mode type alphabetically, and the majority of serious RP servers all fall under clockwork and are all next to each other. If I saw a games name like HL2 or Fallout or Russian Fallout (stalker) next to clockwork, it would catch mine as well as everyone else who knows how to use the server browsers eye. It would bring in new players who are already experienced serious roleplayers from other servers running clockwork. Even if it was just a name change and not actually clockwork. Think about it. also yes I have a cloudsixteen account but I hardly get on the site. I havent had the time to play gmod in a year or so but I got nearly 2000 hrs clocked in that bitch. add me on steam steamcommunity.com/profiles/rotaivA

I hope that you do realise that your "extreme serious roleplayers" from HL2RP are complete shit to be honest.
If you're looking for a roleplay, you're not going to look for a script.
And you yourself throw your hours on garrysmod as if they mattered; I doubt you can roleplay anyhow good.

SRP is not using any of Kuro's scripts and will never do so again. This, among many other things, is not a matter worthy of discussion, as principles are nearly impossible to contradict and we will be continuously railroading in the same direction that has brought us endless pitfalls past these years.

Dead would mean no activity, whereas HGN is very active (Even without SRP being up), Aviator this is the second time you have came to the forums in the last few years to express your miss-guided personal agenda of calling anything that is not made by Kuromeku "shit". You have contributed nothing to this community but further contempt for yourself. I might recommend that you search google for "light\dark-rp" servers running clockwork as you would fit into these types of communities.
