First off, this gamemode does not have a full back story to it, I felt that that making one conflicted with the gameplay mechanics. Let's get started.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R RPG is a fun gamemode, but that also goes with saying it's not very original. Every aspect except the roleplay is ripped from the original game. We have also taken many materials and models too, which sums up to be a large download, especially if you're downloading while connecting to the server. With the high cost of keeping the dedicated server, we cannot afford to lose potential donators and members with a long wait to get on the server. We need a stream-lined, sleek, low content gamemode that can be available to nearly all players, a gamemode that can be made with under 75MB of content.

My total intention of this gamemode was to bring out what was great about S.T.A.L.K.E.R and keep originality. With that in mind you might ask, what is Salvation Light RP? Salvation Light Roleplay (SLRP or "slurp") is based around guerrilla urban combat and light roleplay mechanics. There is no officials factions, factions at their most are based around mutual light RP agreements, the "Do this for me, and I will pay you $xx" or "Let's go do this, and I will share you $xx". The complete goal of the game is the progression of your character and how well you can survive. You begin the game getting a small amount of money per two minutes. When you save up enough money, you may purchase between two things. New weapons, or a station that produces a bit more money for you. You must decide to whether to get better weapons to protect yourself or more stations to gain money more quickly. You may have a maximum of 2 stations you can buy yourself, but you can take others stations and go beyond the maximum number of stations. Each station lasts 30 minutes and then disappears. Defend your stations, take over other stations, pay others to protect your own, hide your stations and play innocent, backstab your employer and take their station. Form a faction or just simply be a lone wolf. You have a variety of ways to play. Eventually, you will have a substantial amount of money and weapons to survive and you can wage wars with other factions. You might say this is an elaborate DM, but I beg to differ. Eventually, you will need to form a relationship with someone to progress. If everyone knows you as a cold blooded, backstabbing murmurer, nobody will want to make deals with you thus hurting the speed you progress at. Lastly, when you are killed you lose the weapon you are holding and that is likely the weapons of your choice. Be careful when pulling out that baby you saved up for and also be careful for your life, you may just end up at the bottom of the food chain again if you don't! That concludes my idea.

If you think there are any holes in this gamemode idea, PLEASE tell me and I will rethink and try to come with a way to fix it. Maybe after this idea is solidified and we know it works well, then we can create a back story, but until that time... I do not want have the back story surround the gameplay, but rather the gameplay surround the back story, I think better results are produced that way. If you provide a suggestion for the gamemode, please try to make the addition as simple as it can possibly be. It took me a very long time to come up with an idea that was simplistic yet sophisticated, sometimes I wanted to go deeper into the gameplay but I resisted since I know I would be planning the next Elder's Scrolls if I persisted. I wanted to make up a more original game inspired by S.T.A.L.K.E.R rather than play copycat. If HGN is serious about making content, we need to be more original to get ourselves known.

If you are wondering about a map for the gamemode. I am currently making a map for this gamemode to get the steamroller going. (I don't believe in people that just throw out an idea and do nothing and ask for coders, mappers, etc.) The map contains plenty of nooks and cranny's to hide stations and find a place for your group or faction and places to wage warfare. If the gamemode is not made then I will probably continue the project until it's finished, it will then be released as a regular RP map.

This seems pretty cool.

I'm willing to help in any way possible.

Right dawg?

Good to hear. Well, if you can map, making prefabs of anything would be great. It can be as a simple as a light fixture, up to an entire apartment.

If you can't map or code. Suggestions or tweaks to the idea are just as good.
