I don't have a problem with My Little Pony, and I don't have a problem with the people who watch My Little Pony. The people I have a problem with are the people who want me to know all the fucking time that they watch My Little Pony. Yeah, I get it, you like a cartoon, I like Gravity Falls but that doesn't mean I need to shove it in everyones faces all the god damn time.

Bronys are basically like hipster, they like the show sure, but the reason they go out of their way to show everyone it is the same reason people are hipsters, they think it makes them cool, and unique, and trendy when it's really just fucking annoying, it's just a plea for attention that probably stems from some kind of issues in their personal life like being unpopular or something.

... Pretty much this. It's just one of those things.

Yea, I have. I don't really care for the show but I don't hate it. The animation is good, the characters seem nice enough, but I just don't really take an interest.

However, this debate goes both ways.

[spoiler]On the one hand: You have all these asspies who can't take a joke who flip a shit over whenever their fandom is insulted--they are insulted, but they bring it upon themselves without realizing it. They bring ponies into conversations that has NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM and start problems.
On the other hand: You have this entirely different set of asspies who jump onto the troll bandwagon because they have to prop up their masculinity by waving around their E-Cocks and saying, "BRONYZ GO DIE IN A FIUR HUEHUEHUE FURFAGS AUTISTS". These people are equally fucking annoying.


Spades, why do you call them asspies? Isn't that offensive? No shit it's offensive, but allow me to explain what an asspie is. You probably already know, but in case you don't, here you go. An asspie is a derogatory term for someone who has the symptoms of Aspergers Syndrome, which is a neurological disorder on the autism spectrum (hence why they say 'autists'). Aspergers shares symptoms that many other autistic disorders have, such as above-average to high IQ, but the drawbacks of aspergers are unique.

Let me use this example, because I grew up with aspergers, and I grew up surrounded by people with aspergers. (Aspergers kids gravitate toward each other for some reason. The anime club or DnD club at your High School is probably full of 'em and they don't even know.) Aspergers kids have an obsession with a particular few topics in which they are often self-taught experts in. In my case, it is military aviation. I could point out almost every modern day military aircraft from the United States, Russia, or even a number of European-built aircraft and I could tell you their purpose, their country of origin, their call number (F-22, Su-33, SR-71, E-100, Q-4, KC-767, E-767, X-45, Tu-95, Tu-160, S-37, PAK FA, I should stop now), and possibly even tell you what weapons it carries. Now, were this a few years ago before I overcame some of my shortcomings, what I'd do as an aspergers kid is I would try to force conversation about jets into a discussion about, say, baseball.

Imagine how awkward it is.

"Hey Johny, did you see the Red Sox game last night?"
"Yea, it was a close game with the Yankees."
Suddenly, "HEY DID YOU KNOW THE F-22 IS ABLE TO SUPERCRUISE WITHOUT LIGHTING ITS AFTERBURNERS?!"
"..."
".... Go away retard."

Okay, so I wasn't that bad in elementary school, but some aspergers kids are. In addition, aspergers kids also have very little concept (or care) of how their peers view them. So you could be making a complete jackass of yourself and having the time of your life while everyone else is staring on like what a freak you are.

Why is this related to Bronies? Well, some of them fall into these symptoms and create this stereotype. They bring ponies into unrelated discussions and shitstorm ensues. From what I hear, they go to these conventions, wear their costumes sometimes for DAYS, they fucking smell, and they don't care... They just don't. This isn't all Bronies, but it's the few who ruin it for the many.



Meanwhile we have these dumbasses who use phrases like "aspergers" and "autism" without even knowing what the words mean because they want to rustle some jimmies. I love fucking with these kids, frankly. Happens most often on YouTube. I see them cussing out some video for no reason because someone mentioned ponies. They use aspergers like it's an insult to me and then I go on their YouTube channels and all I find are retarded Gmod TF2 videos, TF2, and YouTube poop with TF2 sounds in them. That's it. No music videos, no occasional video of cats, nothing educational, etc... nothing that deviates from their narrow obsession with demented brutal and violent cartoon humor like Painis Cupcake and Vagineer. These are the types of people who you could make fart noises in front of and they'll still laugh like a five year old even if they're like seventeen years old. That is aspergers too. So yea. Aspergers. Socially awkward people with obsessions over fringe topics that no one else gives a shit about. Sometimes it's jets, sometimes it's trains, sometimes it's anime, sometimes it's My Little Pony (or anti-MLP), sometimes it's TF2.

As a final note, aspergers kids suck at understanding sarcasm. That's what usually makes them such easy targets for trolls. They don't get humor and they're usually very quirky. They have to learn sarcasm differently. I didn't learn what humor actually was until like my junior year of High School and it hit me, "..... OHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Your insulting me was actually just a joke... wait, humans interact like this? They mock each other but don't really mean it? ... Ohhhhh... wow... I feel like a dumbass now."

Can't say even today I've 100% figured it out, but I'm getting there.[/spoiler]



Anyway I've rambled long enough and if I keep going I'm going to go so far off a tangent I won't know where to stop. To conclude, Bronies might not all be asspies, but there are enough bronies who are to fuck it for the whole lot. Likewise, the people hating on bronies also tend to be asspies. The people who stay the fuck out of the debate are normal people or at least rehabilitated asspies.


EDIT: I nearly forgot. I'm obsessed with the Cartoon Network rendition of Teen Titans. So, that's as close to a Brony as I can get in terms of their behavior. I'm sure most of you have seen and vandalized my silly fan fic page.
