Do you have a mission you'd like to see on the server? Post a link, some screenshots, and a brief description and the name of the mission you want us to add to the server.


Also we can't do DayZ right now--but when this one is up, I'll see what I can do in the future. It'll probably have a password just so not every dumb twat on the internet can join it, but there will be no application process. Consider it an "open invitation" server.

Planned additions:
- STALKER Sandbox (if possible)
- Zeus AI (mod, if possible)
- Modified Domination gametype (courteous of Task Force Blackjack)
- Real-Time Mission Editor gametypes
- Dynamic Zombie Sandbox
- Insurgency

Why don't we just play that mod where a Admin can edit the map and place stuff while the Players are playing like we did before. It let's us create our own Missions and plots.

Hmph...Where do I sign up to participate in this stuff? Sounds interesting in my opinion to play with you guys. Want to get involved in HGN after my LOA on a different game.


Edit: I support Zombie Sandbox and both Day in Life and Insurgency, Also why not... Invasion 1944? Not really a mission but interesting mod.

This. Also if we did do a DayZ server I can see a lot of randomers joining the server and wrecking it basically. If we did do a private hive DayZ server it would have to have a whitelist I think. Another reason for this is the popularity of DayZ meaning randomers will clog up the server so HGN members might not be able to join.

A DayZ server with a whitelist or password would be acceptable. However let's focus on putting up the original server first. Then I will do research for DayZ.

Because it's not possible to keep track of every player at a time and make scripted events in 10 times while players are travelling. Besides, getting headshotted from a kilometer with an AKS74u is just bad.

Also don't turn this into a "THIS GAMEMODE IS BAD" flamewar or I'm going to start deleting posts, you'll all get pissy when I do, blame me for censorship, etc... you know how it goes. Just don't. If you don't like a gamemode, say "I do not care for (insert gamemode)." Rather than "(insert gamemode) is shitty." The former is fine. The latter could be considered flamebaiting.

Frosty made the point that you can't have a DayZ server with a whitelist. :P He is correct. Whitelist, password, whatever. You get the idea.

I'm likely not even going to bother with an application process, but I just don't want every hacking twat on DayZ to invade the server and start shit with people. Basically if we ever have a DayZ server, and I'm making no promises, I will give a bunch of you the password and you can invite your buddies along without needing them to apply.

Players can vote each other as an admin in order to change the mission in most ArmA servers. That will allow you all to play whatever the hell you want, as long as it's uploaded on the server.

I'm confused on why you said no for DayZ. Isn't playing the mission the server will have roleplaying? Because ya know, you're playing the role of a soldier or whatever it is the mission has....
