New FRP Direction! Discuss possible changes, help keep FRP alive!

I plan to have a discussion on a number of things with Exile later today, if he bothers.

Things that will introdue a more self substaning server. Ways for people to make money on their own and create a number of items on their own.

There would be limits to what can be done and how, some things will be hopefully fixed, such as NPC traders and make use of the crafting stations.



If Exile talks to me, maybe we can save FRP. A map change or lore wipe won't. Hasn't the last few times, won't this time.



Each wipe I start to care less about FORP, cause whenever I do something cool for the storyline, it gets wiped because people are like "nah we should start from fresh again", I mean look at the Hillcrest Union legacy, that was probably one of the most important events FORP has ever experienced :U


Every map change and canon-wipe I get more interested in FORP.
Then I realize
A lot of FORPs community is stupid.


I don't want a DnD server, and if Khorne is being vague to push it through, well I won't play, but if Khorne plans to do a game roleplay, and not a tabletop roleplay in a game, I'd support it.

Its not a damn table top. It takes a few ideas from DnD that fit with the original games.

Everyone should know at this point that /me fights are terrible when you play with an asshole.

* Khorn only works for passive at this point. I also plan to make traders have a majority of items for people to buy, but at higher prices. They will sell high, buyback low. That way your average rifle doesn't become a treasured item to whoever wields it.

Same for average and low armor. Food and drinks Traders, arms dealers, and armor salesman. All that added in.

And we add in more crafting options, with schematics that you can get at NPC traders, so you can be your own self governed trader. You build your shit and sell it to people.

Of course its all normal and low level stuff. No fatman and gatling lasers.


So you can save a lot of money up and buy gear, or ascrounge about for some time and build it.

I may disable paychecks to keep farmers away. I have other ideas from other games that can be introduced also.


The only thing from DnD would be a new, and OPTIONAL RP fight system. Very basic and gives a rather fair play for people.

But you wont be required to use it if you rather shoot people straight up. So don't bitch at me for trying to put it in.

The way you phrased it made it seem like it was stupidly tabletop like.

I posted a Revamp Idea in the FRP admin room, for any admins interested.

It's not up for general discussion as I don't need it to be clogged up in stupidity. We are going to change FRP. Since what we have does not work. Has not work. And will not work.


@Maxi My idea was not to replace what combat modes we have. You can still shoot the fuck out of people. Or rely on just /me. If that what makes you happy, use whatever you want.

My idea is an extended version of /me that stops powergaming. I rather not bring up the details here as I know enough of you have issues understanding new ideas and I had a fair share of people failing to read what long walls of text I post. So it's not going to be discussed further than saying "Extended version of /me RP"




Lastly, there is no need to + or - Support as these damn well be implemented as what we have does nothing for us at the moment.
Cause if it did, you all should be on playing FRP. And not wasting my time. This is to add to what we have and make it easier to live in the wasteland without a god/observer over your head all day long.

I have made ideas on what can be done for wasters and such to make money on their own time and get involved in the wasteland a more. As you will be forced to leave town's and bases to make the money.
There will be ways to make money while in town too, but you will need to first get certain things to do so.

If we do choose FNV. I think the element of borders should play out. What areas are more safe then others what borders are good in trading, or safety. You get the drift. It would be a cool idea.
