Title: Hamachi Vs GameTracker
Post by: Silver Knight on 12-05-2009
Hamachi

Hamachi is a way to play over LAN (Local Area Network) over the internet, it creates a "alternative" connection, which allows LAN games over the internet. You have to join "Networks" to see the games hosted in your LAN section of your games, chat is limited, and sadly, the free version is limited to how many players you can have in a network (8) also, it's hard to find other players and alot of the players are generally never on, so Hamachi, isn't the best choice in the book, but, it's functional, and is very popular.

GameTracker

Gametracker is Similar to Hamachi, but it operates in a more functional and better way, instead of joining networks, you can join game rooms which players host, and once started, you autoconnect to the game, no hassle, theres a friends interface, chat interface, and in general it's very stylish compared to Hamachi, not all games are supported (Warcraft 3 isn't in the list sadly) But what games there are, theres a good range of servers, Stronghold Crusader, DemiGod and Age Of Empires 2 are very popular.

Hamachi Benifits:

Pro's
*Download and use it for free.
*Functional interface.
*Networks for Private use.

Con's

Con's
