Egregore: A cyberpunk minecraft RP server

As a player on Aceon, I've often wondered about the possibility of a science fiction-themed minecraft roleplaying server, outside of the usual medieval fantasy stuff. So, I propose Egregore, a server separate to the existing Aceon that caters to fans of cyberpunk, styled after the Deus Ex games, the Matrix films and the works of William Gibson and Phillip K. Dick. Egregore would be a world filled with squabbling megacorporations, unstable governments, all-powerful hackers, cyborgs, street gangs and average joes trying to live in a dystopian future.

I think it's more about attracting another playebase with a different RP preference.

There's already a map for it, it could use a few modifications to fit lore, but there still is a map.

But then again, it would get annoying getting people on the server that don't know RP, or any basis of the Cyberpunk theme/genre.

I like the idea. But I don't trust minecrafts playerbase to consistantly give us players that reflect... Amazing 100% perfect roleplaying. It would be better to have a sustainable playerbase that's achievable. It's probably better to focus on attracting an actual playerbase first and not instantly expect the best. If that's not achievable, then the plan needs to be thought over.

The idea has my support. But I'm just not sure if we can pull it off at this moment in time. Besides, some beneath average roleplayers on the server have turned out decent through practice.
