If you use petroleum jelly, or any sort of lotion etc. on a fresh burn, it will trap the heat and make the burn worse. Just saying.

If you read the burn section it says STERILIZE with petroleum and prescribe Solarcane and Daptomycin.

"2 Apply a cloth or gauze pad coated in petrollium jelly. If you don't and just apply it by itself, it will hurt upon removing. You can also use cold water."
