Well gentlemen. Tom and I did some talking, since this little ARMA 2 stint has been playing the role of a vampire on the servers this is whats going to be done.
Crussaria. STALKER. Fallout. Supervisors and SA's, you will, in a very orderly and professional fashion, give me a minimum of TWO planned MAJOR events for your respective servers. And by major event, I mean crowd drawers, lengthy in time, a bare minimum time of 1 HOUR each, and that would make use of major factions (Duty/Freedom/Military/Monolith - BoS/Enclave/NCR) for the STALKER and Fallout servers. Crussaria has been on rough waters with various ideas, one of them needs implemented to draw some renewed interest, and it needs done soon.
There is a deadline for this, you all have a week and a half to have submissions in. I understand school/work is a very present reality this time of the year, but you all signed up for your positions, and youre going to do the job, or drop the job.

With all respect, I protest - I don't feel like proving anything to anyone. Especialy with a deadline, we're not kids. Many of us feel the same way. Arma 2 SRP will die in a week or so, normality will be restored then. I do agree with thy, It is pointless to put a quota on Events and it is only going to piss admins off what do you expect brand new fresh ideas from every admin? Well hate to tell yea but alot of us are not super creative also, An hour each some of us can barely think of events 30 minutes long, I suck at event's it's not a secret most the event's i've run/aided with were Ace's events.

The servers had SOME activity. Hell, SRP server has been empty since. . . Friday or Saturday (I don't count 1-3 people on the server as "Populated")? Simply put, we wouldn't be upset if SOMEONE was doing SOMETHING on the server. EVERYONE playing ARMA II at once isn't good at all. Its not helping the servers, its not bringing new people in. End result? HGN looks pretty damn dead to be frank. FORP hasn't climbed above 8-10 when it usually has 14-16. Its actually suprissing that you guys are upset/suprised that people such as Silver and myself are upset with this sudden inactivity.

I also dislike this notion of attempting to put pressure on admins.

Everyone here does a fine job as of now. FRP has enough going on at the moment and the admins help spur action when required or asked.

Personally, I have a lot on my plate, working about 9 hours a day, sleeping at most 7 hours. Right there is 16 hours. I have about 8 hours left in free time. I have to spend it hobby time(currently in the middle of a time consuming project), eating, being with my girl friend, Admin, and just relaxing time. The days I have off are spent outside my house when I can.

And as said, this Arma thing will die down soon when everyone gets it out of their system. Its a fun game, but hell I get bored of it in a week.

I also have a better chance at forming ideas for our servers by playing and doing other things. And trying to force us to crank out events that are suppose to be crowd pleasing is kinda hard. Especially when a single player manages to toss a monkey wrench into everything. It's time consuming for players an admins to put together events. And many times players have other things going in life or with their characters where they may not want any part in.


Why not instead of forcing us to pull events out of our asses as punsihment for playing another game together, you just ask us all to pitch into a server wide event for each server. Admins from SRP come to FRP to assist FRP admins to fill nameless mutants and soldier ranks, and FRP go over to SRP to assist those admins in Stalker events?

And as for the servers being dead during the week days, its common, when I get back from work, the servers are low populated, but weekend wise, it fills up.

As for FRP, there have been small events occuring on occasion, depending on who is on. NPC raid, crazy welder man, Cazador assault, mutant and ghoul infestation. We had a bit happen over the week. And for the most part, everyone had a good time.

I've been spending alot of time on FRP as of late and frankly it's been getting to me... I haven't played Arma much yet seeing as how I just got it, but it's a nice little break for a day or so to help me keep my sanity... I feel this is probably how it is for pretty much everyone...

We do not get ddos'd constantly. They target us when our server has 10+ and if the filter is not on (Filters are temp and i have to request one) then it will be laggy\go down dependng on the rate of packets being sent.

If the filters on you won't notice a thing. The kids who attack our servers are doing it to have a laugh no doubt. Declaring that you cannot do your job because they hit us once in awhile is pathetic.

On FRP, we got hit, server got fixed, hopped on, half the players returned. Hour later, again attacked, no players returned.

Should we beg for players to come back on?


What if they do and we get smacked again? Players get pissed off.

That concern was given view. If given say 5 to 10 minutes in free time over a week and a half, which is a whole roughly 55 minutes grand total at the end, to collaberate ideas, you'll be perfectly fine. I see no room for excuses at this point. Except laziness. Nowhere above is it mentioned "This must be done every week and a half.", also. I mentioned SA's and SV's. So, if each respective team works together, key word TEAM, then this is really a very trivial assignment. So stop giving Tom and I excuses, and just get it done.

All I do is run around collecting guns and never shooting anyone if in STALKER, or playing boring old zombies and getting lost in the Eastern European wilderness. No one wants to shoot stuff that shoots back. It's lame. Though FORP has done okay despite my absence, it's time I went back.
