Timesplitters (gonna need a new name... Im thinking TimeKnights or something XD)

Timesplitters is basicly a gamemode, which supports many gamemodes inside it, it has a dynamic

weapon scheme, you select your character, and your off playing, very casual, it's the ultimate

shoot em up.

Modes we aim for:

Instant Gib Death Match - One Hit Kill
Classic Deathmatch - Points based
Infection - Run, who will be the last one alive?
Capture the bag - Get the bag back to your base.
Elimination - Who will be standing?
Roleplay aspects? - perhaps.
Co-op missions - maybe.

------Joining The Game------

Players enter the game, a menu pops up saying the details of the map, and what its about, then

they pick there character and join in on the current gamemode.

The orginal timesplitters menu, we can probably have something like this, but cakescript style,

where you scroll through a list by pressing either left arrow or right arrow, or click the arrow

buttons, and the model changes to the new model, just a simple panel really.

Heres the cakescript example:

Not the best example, but it shows that you can zoom in and out, and flick through the different

models or "characters" avaliable.

--------Characters------------

Characters range from a mean ass combine, to a storm trooper or perhaps a walking dinosaur, the

possiblities are endless, some have minor abilities such as immune to fire (Rock Golem) It

really depends what the player feels like playing, i mean, who wouldn't want to play a zombie

fresh from death, or a hunchbacked man with a shotgun?

--------Gamemodes in detail--------

Deathmatch

Just your casual, shoot em up gamemode, where theres a set time limit on a map, and the person

with the most kills wins !

Team Deathmatch

The same as deathmatch, but instead of everyone against each other, there are teams, Red, Blue,

Yellow and Green, the admins can choose which teams are disabled, incase they want it so it's

just red vs blue or perhaps just 3 teams, but the default should be set to all 4 teams enabled.

All the teams have to do, is gain kills, and each kill is added to the team total, the highest

scoring team wins at the end of the game.

Virus

Virus is one of those fast gamemodes, where one player is randomly infected, and is ignited, but

does not take damage, he then needs to simply, touch another player, and that player gets

infected, and then they have to infect the rest.

Elimination

The aim in an Elimination match is to be the last player left alive at the end, since each

player does not have an unlimited amount of respawns. Once a player has died the set number of

times, you are unable to respawn and participate further in the match. The amount of kills each

player has is irrelevant, since the player with the most kills could still lose all their lives

before the end of the match. If a time limit is set and the match ends before there is just one

player left, the player(s) with the most lives left is/are declared the winner(s).

Vampire

Similar to Elimiation, but much more in depth, Each bullet is instant kill on vampire, every

player looses 1hp every 2 seconds, and to gain that hp back, they must kill another player, once

killed, they get full hp agains, the person with the most lives left wins.

Zones

Preset places or "control points" must be controlled by a team, every minute a zone is

controlled, that team gains a point, the team with the most points wins.

Thief

The player must get the most coins to win, every time a player is killed, he drops a coin, and

when picked up, the player gets a point.

Capture The Bag

Exactly the same as capture the flag, but instead, a bag, each team must capture the enermys

bag, and bring it back to their bag, each time they do, they gain a point.

Ghost

One player is the ghost (invisible), and the player must kill everyone else, The ghost is only

revealed when attacking, but their footsteps can be heard when running.

COOP

Cooperative gameplay, this would probably be hard to do, but im just putting this in here for

the fun of it, basicly COOP is where players team together, and try to achieve objectives,

against spawned npc's, sentry guns and the like, and try to do it within a timelimit.

-------Weapons--------

Weapon data is saved in a file, admins can change the scheme of the weapons loaded, there are 6

classes, gun 1, gun 2, gun 3, gun 4, gun 5 and grenade. The scheme is simply a file, with the

guns unique names in each slot for example:

//Urban Loadout.

guns = { }

pistol // gun1
smg1 // gun 2
rifle //gun 3
sniper rifle // gun4
rpg //gun5
frag grenade //gun 6

This allows dynamic weapons in the gamemode, so the admins can have different loadouts, so

instead of having say, a combine pistol, they can have a css pistol in a different scheme, and

use that instead. That way, they can change from themes such as space maps, and use space guns.

Weapons are spawned in preset locations, every map has a file telling it where exactly the guns

spawn, where the objects such as bag bases, zones etc are. This means, any map can be used, and

does not require custom maps to achieve it's goals.

------Player Voting------

If voting is turned on, players can vote for a map change, or gamemode change from a list of

gamemodes and maps, admins can turn off gamemode voting.

If voting is not turned on, a map rotation will be put in place instead, and every 5 maps, it

will change to a different gamemode.

----------Other---------

Spawning Effect

When players spawn, it plays a kind of warp sound, and for a split second surrounds them in a

flashy effect.

Character Abilities

Some characters are resistant to fire (so flamethrower wont hurt them much) Some characters move

slightly faster.

Hud

The hud is quite simple, you have a radar in the top right, and ammo down bottom right, health %

armour is displayed when the player is taking damage.

Pickups

The player can pick up health kits, armour, guns, gamemode objects and powerups.

Powerups

Power ups are small things which give the player little boasts, such as the Inflictor, which

deals more damage, Speedy, which makes the player faster, Invisiblity which makes the player

invisible, these power ups only last for a certain amount of time.

Quotebreslau: if i cant cheat i dont wanna play
breslau: period

I think COOP should be renamed "Assualt" from what i remember.
