S.T.A.L.K.E.R RP Admins - IMPORTANT

This is going to be the most important thread you'll ever read during your career as an admin, because, if you do exactly what this thread tells you not to do, you can expect your admin to be removed IMMEDIATELY.

Gentlemen, here at HGN, we want to encourage people to criticize us, suggest things to us, and speak their mind. We want people to give us their thoughts, their opinions, their likes/dislikes about the server. We want them to be OPEN with us.

From now on, you will NOT be allowed to ban/kick/warn people for the reason, "FLAMING AN ADMIN", or "DISRESPECTING ADMINS". Doing so will get YOU banned.

We have no rules against them flaming, attacking, disrespecting, or criticizing and admin. The rule we have, is a rule against flaming in GENERAL. Admins are equal to members, and we do not get special treatment. You get as much respect as you give out.

 If somebody is mad about something, and they're yelling at you, your job is to HELP them. Not ban them for it. The customer is always right.


Here's some examples to help you:

"ADMIN! YOU SHOT ME WHILE I WAS TIED UP ON THE GROUND. YOU'RE A FUCKING MINGE, YOUR RP IS HORRIBLE, YOU'RE A POWERGAMER."

"Member, I understand you're very angry right now, and that's completely understandable. However, I would like to ask you to lower your "tone", tone down on the curse words, and explain your disagreement calmly. Although you are angry that I shot you without letting you respond, you were indeed tied up, and it is not powergaming if you were tied up and could not respond. Nobody can dodge a bullet, especially if they're tied up."


"ADMIN! YOU'RE BUILDING A HUGE DOOM FORT, YOU'RE LAGGING THE SERVER!"

"I realize that you're a little mad that it's taking up too much space, and causing crashes, but you could tell me in a nicer way. However, I notice that you do not approve of the size of my base, how can I improve it?"



What should we NOT see?

"Admin, seriously. You're a horrible RP'er, and you're making giant death raids on everybody in the server. Wtf?"

The customer is ALWAYS right. Members have ten times more power than you do. Without them, you are NOTHING, and yes I will take a member's side over YOURS. So treat them better, work on improving their experience.

Another thing is admins doing huge mega events, or giving themselves shit they shouldn't have.

Gentlemen. Imagine yourself a normal member again. What could you get away with doing as a normal member?

Could you give a bunch of people guns and lead a huge death raid on a base?

NO

Could you make giant road blocks in the middle of a road, and teleport people around if they wanna go around?

NO

Could you make giant mega turrets and shoot enemies coming near your base?

NO

Could you make giant ROCK FORTRESSES and get away with it?

NO

The list goes on, use your common sense.

Finally some rules that are set forth to show what good admins should be like. Every admin should follow this list TO THE LETTER.

And no, the spawning yourself guns deal is also included under not doing anything you couldn't get away with as a normal member.

Bleh. Man, just take what I said at face value.

People who spawn some guns for themselves is okay. A little AK74, or LR300 is fine. Be reasonable, use your common sense in a situation like that. I admit, being an admin is fucking hard, and we need rewards every now and then. Just clear it up with SilverKnight. He might allow it, he might not. It's up to him.

This thread was just a sort of "Let players speak their mind, and stop thinking you're above them" kind of thread.

Ohh yeah and I Tempbanned Agoro again, he kept using the Usable Vehicles and triggered the "Combine Assault" in the Old Factory Complex(Of the origonal Robynsvalley part)
I would suggest that the Eco's take over the Vehicle Warehouse of the Trainyard to stop this from happening in the future.

Tea's bitching at my attempts to make stuff epic again. Aparently I'm not allowed to make Missions based in rockprop-made caverns. Nor am i allowed to set up an Ecologist Bunker that blocks the CombineRaid button.

Just don't make doom forts. The only people who can make doom forts are Military, Freedom, and Duty. And even then, I want them to be made with MINIMAL props.

Anyway, I'm happy with what we have. Reece doesn't run that other community. A few guys do, and it's just a bunch of Australians.

Don't bug them. Stay away from them. Let them live in peace.

We need to focus on the problems here at home. We've got things to deal with internally, first, before we take on bigger problems.

Nothing is perfect yet, but things are improving, and I expect each and every one of you to keep doing as good as you are.

Server was up at 7 populace, with my disconnection it was quickly wittled to One.
Seems my prescence HAS some effect.
