Roleplay Scenes

This is an idea i have  had floating around in my head for well over a year now, perhaps revolutionary. The idea is that players get put into new situations when the old one becomes boring. They sign up for positions in the roleplay and then play it out. This is very dynamic in that the server changes theme, roles, positions and there is always a ending to the storyline.

A theme might be new york city, players take the roles of FBI, Police, Citizens and such. Some players might be assigned hidden agenders to complete and accomplish throughout the roleplay, others might just play along and see what happens. It's not necessarly centred around the police\fbi. Alot can go on in the background, players playing out lives of various other characters to complete the enviroment. Paramedics, technicians, biker gangs. Stuff like that.

You have the creation, the incidents, the story and the ending. It could last from a week to a month but the idea is your constantly in a changing enviroment, the story is moving forward and the characters move with it.

I'm eventually going to test this idea out and see where it goes.

I actually seem to like this concept, it seems quite intresting.  I'm going to watch over this concept and see how it turns out.

Once our other servers became stable i will do a tester, i already have a good scenario in my head of what to do and how it would all play out.

We tried this on a TSRP server I knew of and the issue was keeping players' attention. People like character development and RP loses a lot of its weight when it's just a 1-off scenario.

At least for me I like having persistent characters rather than just acting in a role for a weekend.

But than I disappointed him when I told him I wouldn't be able to start it.

Your idea was for a D&D style thing which I thought implied character continuity.

If these "scenes" worked like a D&D session where the chars were (or I guess could be) persistent then I would be interested.

I had ideas that would be like DnD in the sense someone would become DM for a given time, and they would create the event  with help of players and admins that.

A group of players would be the adventure group and the rest would be 'henchmen' for the DM.
And people would play until the group was killed off/completed quest or everyone got bored with it.

I would be interested but we already have the most fucking split community in forming with 3 servers and content being made little by little and almsot randomly...

I am telling you Exile whats with you and makeing tons and tons and tons of new fucking projects...

Your just killing off one project then bringing up another then killing the rest.

I mean I just want atleast fucking 2 servers and if we have 3, 2 that are normal servers and the last one is the scenario roleplay.

Crussaria and stalker for godsakes, infact Crussaria almost has this vibe but the fucking RPG elements really just ruined the whole idea of it.

Well we are gonna be stuck in these half done roleplays with only 3 people on each server and well, thats gonna fucking suck.

Just stop...For godsakes Exile we are gonna fucking die in our stew with 10 roleplay servers all half done and content thrown everywhere and we won't have an idea what happened. You want people to play on your servers and enjoy it listen to me for godsakes and run 2 servers that are well done, I honestly don't care at this point which server..

To be honest we only have 30 or so active members and we are barley even dragining in new players.

LE for godsakes you can do great things if you didn't start so many god dam ideas, our community is small as a real life asian girls tits and we are gonna die with like 4 gmod servers that only one of them is gonna be played.

The gmod community is already dieing least you can do is fucking have 2 servers we can manage properly and run.

IDEA:

Focus on STALKER and Crussaria, and just wait. Eventually work your up to making a new server and such when people most will want it. It is not a good idea to have 4 servers running all at once. For example, FORP, Crussaria and SRP have a playerbase that is spread out among them. To sum up my point, work on Crussaria and STALKER, then some other project eventually.

Yeah you make me have nightmares when you are makeing twenty different projects Mi Lord since I know your gonna dip the tip of your dick in this and then try and make this. Just getting the point acrost that we can't run anymore servers unless we get rid of fucking server 2 and another server otherwise we are divided very much. I mean you've been doing this for a long time so it always worries me when you start another god dang project, I mean its a decent idea but I mean we got lots of dem servers.
