First and foremost, don't go off saying "oh that wuz the wrong choice, you shoulda went wit dis gapfics curd". Just shut the fuck up about it, I am not one for needing a 4870X2 system. I know my needs, just because there is something on this list that you wouldn't have gotten, doesn't mean I shouldn't have gotten it. With that said, here's the list.

CPU: AMD Phenom 9850 BLACK EDITION 2.5GHz Quad-Core
Mobo: ASrock A780GXE AM2/AM2+ (This board is compatible with the new AM3 CPU's that came out 2 weeks back.)
RAM: GSKILL 4GB
HDD: Western Digital 640GB 16MB cache
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4830 512MB
LCD: Acer 19" 2000:1 CR 5ms response
Case: Cooler Master Elite 330
PSU: Sigma Shark 635W 40AMPS on combined 12V rails
DVD: LG 22X DVD Burner (nothing too special to talk about here)

For now, this system will run Vista Ultimate 64-bit. I'll be buying Windows 7 when it comes out.

Comments welcome!

Nice specs! I bet it'll be nice to have the higher graphics card huh?

Hell yeah, say goodbye to this old X1650!

This system was $720. Can't get those specs for that price at any retailer.

Where do you get your parts? o.O I've never been able to find a good cost effective part store.

All my parts were ordered from newegg.com

tigerdirect.com offers the same prices.

4 2.5 quad.... -.- you should have got 3.0 duo core, quad isn't really supported by any game yet....

breslau: period

Just a quick rundown. I don't do all gaming, the 9850 was rated for fastest compile times in hammer. It was only $142 and beat the E8400 (even in games) and the E8400 is like about 20-30 more dollars. It's really a no brainer when you see the benchmarks and price.
