The Story...

On May 25, 2004, a giant spacecraft approached the earth. Silent, it hovered ominously over the world and began to release great clouds of spores into the upper atmosphere. Rapidly multiplying, the spores soon darkened the skies, and before long obscured the sun completely. In leter days, this period would be known as the "Twilight.".
The spores, having reached critical mass in the skies, began to rain down. Over the course of several days, they began to clog and streets and bodies of water, smothering people in their homes and burying animals in the wild. During the "Nightfall," as it came to be called, most of the higher life forms on the earth were wiped out.
During the Twilight, all human responses were futile. Choosing caution over aggression, the governments of the world didn't realize how quickly the end could come, and were buried alongside those that they governed. A few, however, did survive, sealed in underground bases with stocks of food and oxygen. After several weeks, the spores seemed to have disintegrated, decomposing and settling into the soil. The world seemed safe again, for a time.
This is where your story begins, you, a lone survivor, wake to a seemingly safe world, soon to be filled with the later-dubbed "Transgenants," horribly mutated creatures, whose ancestors were none other than ourselves and the wildlife.
You must fight your way to freedom, and to the company of the few other survivors, and brave yourself for the enemy above, who is likely to be descending as we speak.


The Entire Game/RP In a Nutshell... (BIIG SPOILER)
Aliens by the name of the "Reticulans" arrive, yep, the typical "Greys", with their mind set on turning the planet into churning, living biomass to create a supercomputer of godly psionic power, Survivors fight back, and are given two options by the Reticulans, compromise or fight.



The Rules of the Canon

You start out as a fresh survivor, crawling out of your basement to a void of a world, everybody you ever knew are dead, and by pure alienphobia and a week in your sealed musky basement, you survived.
- No Cops, simply put, and that means ex-cops too.
- The Plot developes via "Research and Developement", so the starting chapter has been called "Twilight and Fall".
- The CoE's(Council of Earth) word is Law.
- By default, you are allowed a pistol for protection, leave anything else for Phoenix Squad.
