Far Cry 2 - PC

Far Cry 2 has gotta be one of the greatest games I've played in all of 2008. I'm seriously impressed with this game. Though, I found out Crytek didn't actually make this game, and for some odd reason I was going around thinking they did... but it's just a Ubisoft Montreal product. Same kids who made one of the "Tom Clancy's" games. I think they made Rainbow Six Vegas, not sure.

Anyhow, this game is amazing. The single player campaign is like a mini-STALKER, minus the RPG elements. You can free roam, and do what you please. You've got a few wonderful vehicle selections, and even better weapon selections. The best part? It's all done with photo-realistic graphics. Fuck yeah! Go super PC!

So the best part about this game is the single player, obviously, but the classic-Multiplayer is just as good. I find myself playing the multiplayer day in, day out, and I'm addicted as fuck. It's the best multiplayer I've ever seen in a run-and-gun First Person shooter. You don't run around super quick, you can't bunny hop, you can't run and shoot someone perfectly in the head. It's a beautiful, beautiful game. Best thing is that you end up playing a shit load of custom maps that don't take 5 hours to download. Takes me about 1 - 3 minutes to download a custom map.

Anyway, has anyone else around here played this game? If so, what are YOUR thoughts on it?

Also, does anyone else here play multiplayer? I'd love to set up a match with some of you. I mostly play with Patta, but it'd be nice to add some more people to our team so we can really kick some ass.

I like it too. I haven't played much of the singleplayer or played the multiplayer yet. But I like what I've seen.

I hated that game, it's got some nice features, but in general, it's boring as hell...
