Chapter 15: Shadow's Song

Kirous and Mordael have been felled, and this leaves but one of the Mages of Naud for the heroes, not counting the new threats of Aurnael and the Silent Knight. The remaining mage, Zieldael, has been given near-full control of Naud, being the last one left, and becomes far more active in her attempts to stifle and end the heroes... Deciding enough is enough [once again], the heroes decide to raid the Elya tree once more in attempt to at least sever some of Zieldael's plans, and weaken her hold on Naud. Yet they do not know that in the shadows of the tree, an unanswered past lurks...

Ziel yet again has gained from the heroes' raid, with the Shadesong Apparition slain to her delight. There must be a way to get her off her guard...Empowered by an orb recieved from the shadow, Drake Aerbane now knows the whole story...and the entire truth, which he prepares to tell his allies when next they meet...
