MSN Problem at my Friend

My friend has a MSN problem that pops up when he tries to log in saying something about the Main Ports. I already googled and searched in every forum i found and did everything they said over teamspeak at him but it wont work.

if you got some ideas plz help me and my friend ^^

 Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt.

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ip reset reset.log

If that doesn't work than I don't know what will.
