Both are about the same, but the glock is probably lower quality since it comes in a bundle. Glock is very small, and maneuverable, and the sig is heftier and fits nicer.

KingArthur

IRL glock defiantly, but airsoft? Hell if i know.

Zombiedance

I would go with the sig 226. But there is also the http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_25_63&products_id=6789 Kwa makes amazing guns. One of the guys at the local field i have use's this and it is just plain out awesome we were in the rain and he charged shooting it it looked so bad ass. The only problem is if you take the orange tip off it looks like a real gun but that isn't exactly a problem if you play in the woods or in a field.

Sadly i looked up some laws Canada is -WAY- To strict on this stuff, both of those guns are apparently Forbidden firearms in Canada, So i won't be buying either anytime soon, sigh, God damn Canada gets frustrating sometimes

Learn the law.

Airsoft guns (even specific models) are not forbidden firearms.

Replica firearms are illegal. These are non-functioning replia's of firearms.

Airsoft guns are functional, thus making them not a Replia firearm.

It shoots alot slower then any BB gun making it not a bb gun and it shoots below veloity that make it a fire arm/bb gun/etc.

Airsoft is in the GREY zone of the law It is not illegal, it is not legal. If you keep it off public property and or out of site, it's fine. You can only import them with a specific business liscence which is what hikes up the cost.

This is why orange tips are not required in Canada, the silener on my MP5SD has been blacked since day one.

On topic; Sig. Glocks are nigger/COD cannons, and not that great IRL.

They are VERY often accidentally discharged IRL by TRAINED professionals due to their lack of safety mechanisms, they  have a tendancy of EXPLODING (which is why they're called Fire Boxes) and yeah, i'de take anything over a glock. There are a few glocks in decent calibres though, i'll give them that.

Off topic: My friend's brother who's a wannabe gangster wanted to buy a glock because "It'll be just like in Call of Duty". I mean, the same can be said for most any gun but, I think that game has hit so close to home to the wigger population it isn't funny. All of my cousins who are 'niggers' (in the gangster and black sense) all love the shit out of that game and constantly harrass me to buy an xbox, that game, all the DLC and xbox live so they can 'own' me on it. Side rant aside, I don't like glocks that much. I did like the model 18 with the port above the barrel.

IRL Sig >>> Glock. Sig makes much higher quality firearms (Sig 226 MSRP is $850, Glock 17 MSRP is like $550. There is a reason for that).

Call of Duty =/= Real Life.

And it would be really nice if people asking for advice about Airsoft stuff would realize that gun replica type means NOTHING. The BRAND of the gun is what matters. Is a Glock or a 226 airsoft gun better? I don't know because one could be a Marui and one could be a pos HFC or something. Post brand names and we could be a lot more helpful.

Dude, My dad is a cop, he knows his shit, he even talked to one of the people at his work who specialises in firearms/replicas, these, and most other airsoft guns fall into the catigory of replicas and will be taken from the person and destroyed, and the person possibly charged for some bullshitlaw,

As for the IRL Glock VS Sig argument going on, I prefer glocks, because i have used glocks, i just like them, so meh, They are cheap and reliable, that is just my opinion, And yes some glocks have some problems, But the .40 Cal seems to have no serious problems, My dad has had one for about twenty or so years and has never had a problem with them.

Edit: Gun replica type dosen't matter, but its what type you prefer, you could buy a colt m1911, and have a Sig 226 that has the exact same qualities, Reason i made this was because the sig was tempting but i like the glock IRL so i really couldnt decide.

You can get Sigs in .40 SW as well.

And brand is the important factor in determining whether something is a good buy, not replica type. A KWA 1911 variant is vastly superior to a WE 1911 variant.

Specific questions are better and taking it to an actual airsoft forum like arniesairsoft.co.uk, airsoftretreat.com or airsoftcore.com will yield better answers as I only have limited airsoft experience

Goose

Better then my none, lol, And Airsoft fourms are filled with Jarhead wannabe's witch i'd rather avoid. Hmm, Sounds like the paintball fourm i used to go on.

Alright well my knowledge comes entirely from those sites and from knowing how stuff works and seeing internal pics so yeah that's a disclaimer.

I don't know the process of getting shit to Canada but it seems like buying from a Hong Kong retailer like redwolfairsoft.com and having them ship it would be cheaper (assuming they ship to Canada, I don't know). Shipping from Hong Kong is usually like $50-$75, maybe more but $250 for a gas pistol from likely a shitty brand (none of the "good" brands make glock 26s like that one) is absurd. If you are dead set on a glock you're going to have some trouble because the biggest producer of glocks, KSC got sued or something by Glock and they do not produce them any more. Glock 18s are available from Tokyo Marui which is a high quality Japanese manufacturer but they are mostly plastic due to Japanese laws (it's high quality plastic but...still that would bug me). You can buy metal slides for them but that would increase the price by at least $50ish, and you might have to replace some of the internals to fully cycle the heavier metal slide.

As for Sig 226s, again Marui makes one but it's all plastic. KJW makes a supposedly decent Sig P226 that has the added benefit of a licensing agreement with Sig so it has trademarks and is full-metal.

KWA makes excellent gas guns but their selection is limited to USPs and 1911 variants pretty much, (they might have a M92 as well).

Goose

I'm not really dead set on anything, im just looking for a decent gas pistol that has cheap shipping to canada, and wont be seized at the border(lol) but yea i'll check those out.

Can I import airsoft guns into Canada?

The short answer is no. The Canada Border Services Agency (formerly Canada Customs and Revenue Agency) has a directive that says airsoft guns are replicas and are thus prohibited from importation.

They'll be destroyed at the border without refund if you try and import them and they get inspected On the off chance they slip by, yuo just saved a buncha money by switching to geico but it's a 1/100 chance and you don't want to dump 500 a pop to try and sneak one by.

They'll ship to Canada, you'll just lose your gun and they'll keep the money.

As for buying anything, look up in-depth reviews on arnies or just google reviews for that specific brand and model.

Just about to say that lucid, I've looked all over the place for a way to get a good gun to Canada for airsoft. It is not going to happen. Buy from canada or have it destroyed. Fuck the gun laws, I could get a real weapon easier.

irondeity

Be a man, .700 Nitro. But in all honesty Ive only taken familiarization with the M9 and the M1911 through the Army. So I'll put a simple thought up. Buy what you want, because the guy on the other end of the barrel is still gonna get it... from an airsoft pellet that is.

Take the P226. Its METAL. For starters. My shitty little pistol is all plastic and well... Its very terrible. Go with the P226. Weighs more, its bigger and once again, metal.

When i have money its going to be my sidearm (because they do not have an MK23 >_<)

Paintcheck

KWA has a Mk23 in the works should be out soon, although due to your shitty Canadian laws it might be awhile before you see it.

And also metal is not the endall be all. A lot of those Chinese guns use zinc alloy pot metal that is actually weaker than the high quality polymer used by Tokyo Marui.

Or just get a KWA which uses Aluminum and win.

Beautiful necro post.
