History

The Shaylaqua Tribe was once the most powerful group of humans in Aceon, we coexisted with the other inhabitants of these lands. We traded with everyone, we never fought over land, and there was an abundance of food. It seemed as though the gods had blessed us. One day, one of the tribes closed their gates, shutting out the world, we could not understand why. Hundreds of years passed, and many white men came from the land beyond the Great Fog. We welcomed them, traded with them and showed them our land, they taught us how to speak their language, and told us of their gods. The white men began to demand land and resources, some of the other tribes refused, and were crushed beneath their boots of steel. Their greed could not be quenched, and they began taking everything they wished. They burned entire villages, and slaughtered anyone in their way, leaving us no choice but to run. We tried to fight, but their weapons were too powerful. During this time, the tribe that had closed its gates opened them once more, their technology more advanced than anything we have ever seen. After the Great War, the white men believed they destroyed us all, but we have been hiding. The white men are now trying to return peace to this land, but they are fighting amongst themselves to achieve it. We do not know if it is safe, but we will try to coexist with the people of Aceon once more.
