The Renrijra Krin
Nothing to do with furries!

Apologies for the wall of text but to get across the vastly different Khajiit culture without so much text would be highly difficult. If you're not interested in lore scroll to the bottom for information on how to join.

Lore

The Khajiit are a race of humanoid felines, sharing many characteristics with their feline ancestors such as their claws, fur, fangs, tail, agility and their ability to see in the dark. They worship the moon, or to the Khajiit, the eternal soul Jode. By nature Khajiit are fun loving, inquisitive and intelligent, yet can be cruel, ruthless and untrusting. This distrust of other races has been embellished by their violent past.

The exact origin of the Khajiit is unknown, however throughout Aceon's history they have experienced much oppression at the hands of the other races. Humanity in particular has been responsible for a number of atrocities, most recently the capture of the Khajiit for use as slaves. The use of Khajiit as slaves by numerous human factions almost drove the species to extinction. The last of the Khajiit were forced underground, forming a faction of vengeful, feline guerilla fugitives. They are the Renrijra Krin. Rumour's have reached the tavern's of Aceon that the Khajiit resistance has forged a hidden fortress in the depths of Aceon's wild. It is said that other surviving Khajiit clans are emerging and flocking to the banner of the Renrijra Krin in the hopes of rekindling the past glory of the Khajiit. The increased numbers has lead to the expectation that the fortress will be expanded as well as numerous safehouse "dens" being created across Aceon. Dismissed by many factions as mere bandits the Renrijra Krin's actions are becoming a thorn in civilisation's side that is being pushed too deep to ignore.

The Renrijra Krin is forced to generate its wealth through banditry and the selling of an illegal narcotic drug - Moonsugar. The sugar, which can be seen growing on the shores of many bodies of water, is said to be the crystallised moonlight of their deity, Jode. Although there is little evidence to support this the substance is of great importance within Khajiit society and has formed a large part of their culture as a main trade good, a recreational drug, inducing a temporary ecstasy, and in the diet of the Khajiit due to their fondness of sweet treats, especially cake.

Ranking

The rank within society for a Khajiit, and therefore within the Renrijra Krin, are highly valued by the species. The rank usually forms the prefix for the Khajiit's name, normally separated by an apostrophe, for example the leader, Xerdun, becomes Ri' Xerdun. Each rank is given followed by a translation:

Ma: Apprentice, often given to the youngest and / or newest of members.
Dar: Bandit, given to those who have perfected their guerilla tactics.
Do: Warrior, those excelling in combat. The highest rank achievable.
Ri: Leader

Each rank brings with it certain perks that will remain secret for security reasons. The hidden fortress is to stay exactly that - hidden, as will the locations of the safehouses. To give away the location is to incur the wrath of the Renrijra Krin leading to the death of the individual and great dishonour amongst their family. Skills that are highly valued in the Renrijra Krin are stealth and the ability to cover tracks (especially when harvesting resources) and a smile. Everything else is a bonus.

Ahzirr Traajijazeri

The manifesto of the Renrijra Krin, translated to be more readable by the furless.

This is an absurd book. But like all things Khajiiti, as the expression goes, "gzalzi vaberzarita maaszi", or "absurdity has become necessity." Much of what I have to say has probably never been written before, and if it has, no one has read it. The humans feel that everything must be written down for posterity, but every Khajiiti kitten knows his history, he drinks it in with his mother's milk.
Fairly recently, however, our struggles to win back our homeland have attracted sympathetic clans who wish to join our cause, but, it seems, do not understand our ways. Our enemies, of course, do not understand us either, but that is as we wish it, a weapon in our arsenal. Our non-Khajiiti friends, however, should know who we are, why we are, and what we are doing.
The Khajiit mind is not engineered for self-reflection. We simply do what we do, and let the world be damned. To put into words and rationalize our philosophy is foreign, and I cannot guarantee that even after reading this, you will understand us. Grasp this simple truth -- "q'zi no vano thzina ualizz" -- "When I contradict myself, I am telling the truth."
We are the Renrijra Krin. "The Mercenary's Grin¸" "The Laugh of the Landless," and "The Smiling Scum" would all be fair translations. It is a derogatory expression, but it is amusing so we have adopted it.
We have anger in our hearts, but not on our faces. We believe in justice, but do not follow laws.
"Q'zi no vano thzina ualizz."
These are not rules, these are the way of the Renrijra Krin. Call them our "thjizzrini" -- "foolish concepts."
1. "Vaba Do'Shurh'do": "It Is Good To Be Brave"
We are struggling against impossible odds. Our cause is the noblest cause of all: defense of home. If we fail, we betray our past and our future. Our dead are "Ri'sallidad", which may be interpreted as "martyrs" in the truest, best sense of that word which is so often misused. We honor their sacrifice and, beneath our smiles, mourn them deeply.
Our bravery most obviously shows in the smile that is the "Krin" part of our name. This does not mean that we walk about grinning like fools. We simply are entertained by adversary. We find an equal, fair fight tiresome in the extreme. We confidently smile because we know our victory in the end is assured. And we know our smiles drive our enemies insane.
2. "Vaba Maaszi Lhajiito": "It Is Necessary To Run Away"
We are struggling against impossible odds. Honor is madness. Yes, we loved the Renrijra Krin who died in brave battle against the forces of the Empire, but I guarantee you that each of those Ri'sallidad had an escape route he or she failed to use, and died saying, "Damn."
Do not ally yourself with the Renrij if you yearn to be part of a mighty army, marching resolutely forth, for whom retreat is anathema. We will laugh at your suicidal idiocy as we slip into the reeds of the river, and watch the inevitable slaughter.
3. "Fusozay Var Var": "Enjoy Life"
Life is short. If you have not made love recently, please, put down this book, and take care of that with all haste. Find a wanton lass or a frisky lad, or several, in whatever combination your wise loins direct, and do not under any circumstances play hard to get. Our struggle against the colossal forces of oppression can wait.
Good. Welcome back.
We Renrijra Krin live and fight together, and know that our enemies will not give way very soon, likely not in our lifetimes. In the time we have, we do not want our closest comrades to be dour, dull, colorless, sober, and virginal.
Do not begrudge us our lewd jokes, our bawdy, drunken nights, our moonsugar. They are the pleasures that are denied us, and so we take our good humor very seriously.
4. "Fusozay Var Dar": "Kill Without Qualm"
Life is short. Very short, as many have learned when they have crossed the Renrijra Krin.
We fight dirty. If an enemy is facing us, we might consider our options, and even slip away if his sword looks too big. If his back is to us, however, I personally favor knocking him down, and then jumping on his neck where the bones snap with a gratifying crunch. Of course, it is up to you and your personal style.
5. "Ahzirr Durrarriss": "We Give Freely To The People"
Let us not forget our purpose. We are fighting for our families, the Khajiiti driven from our rich, fertile shores, where they and their ancestors lived since time immemorial. It is our battle, but their tragedy. We must show them, lest they are swayed by other rhetoric, that we are fighting for them.
The leaders of Aceon can give speeches, pass laws, and, living life in the open, explain their positions and philosophies to their people to stave off the inevitable revolution. Extralegal entities, such as the Renrijra Krin, must make our actions count for our words. This means more than fighting the good fight, and having a laugh at our befuddled adversaries. It means engaging and seducing the people. Ours is not a military war, it is a political war. If the people rise up against our oppressors, they will retreat, and we will win.
Give to these people, whenever possible, gold, moonsugar, and our strong arms, and though they hide, their hearts will be with us.
6. "Ahzirr Traajijazeri": "We Justly Take By Force"
Let us not forget our purpose. We are thieves and thugs, smugglers and saboteurs. If we cannot take a farm, we burn it to the ground. If the humans garrisoned in a glorious ancient stronghold, beloved by our ancestors, will not yield, we tear the structure apart. If the only way to rescue the land from misappropriation is to make it uninhabitable by all, so be it.
We want our life and our home back as it was twenty years ago, but if that is not realistic, then we will accept a different simple, pragmatic goal. Revenge. With a smile.

Rules

Despite the culture of the Renrijra Krin we are not griefers. Wanton violence on a non-rp level that has not been agreed upon by both parties is not acceptable. Anyone found doing so will be punished.

Tidiness is incredibly important in order to keep any bases as inconspicuous as possible. In addition harvesting from within 200 blocks of the base is forbidden unless overseen by Ri' Xerdun. Trees may be harvested if replanted

Die to protect our secrets

Diplomatic Relations

Neither specifically at war or allied with any of the factions the Renrijra Krin will indiscriminately target anyone not a friend of the Khajiit for robbery. However, deals can be made with them, for a price.

How to Join

Send myself a personal message for review containing the following and I shall be in contact.
No prior knowledge of Khajiit necessary

Your Minecraft Username:
Your RP name (preferably a Khajiit name):
RP experience:
Why you would like to join the Renrijra Krin:

For help selecting a Khajiit name see http://www.silgrad.com/oblivion/rangen/ (remember to remove the prefix at the start of the name as this will be replaced by your status)

Extra Information

1) Roleplaying a Khajiit will be an enjoyable challenge due to the different speech style of the species. Strange sayings are used that can only be picked up through practice but for starterss "I" is often replaced by "This one" and others are "Prey" or "Furless (if appropriate)". I can also be used, as is talking about oneself in the third person. All can be used for variation Fellow Khajiit are often referred to as "Clanmates"

2) Activities you can expect to partake in by joining the Renrijra Krin:

The robbing and banditry of those part of more affluent nations
Trading moon sugar for armaments, goods or money
The setting up of various dens, safehouses and hidden structures
Roleplaying with often unfriendly outsiders
Roleplaying casually with each other, most aspects of Khajiit life will be significantly different to most other rp you'll encounter

3) You should have an appropriate skin. Any skin on your character skin should be made to look like fur. The whites of eyes should be recoloured green and the character should be made to look as catlike as possible unless armour permits this. The eyes must be present on any character skin. The fur must be present if there is bare skin on the skin. Desert attire is preferred due to the Khajiit's desert based culture. There is no strict uniform due to the disorganised nature of the faction.

I have created a base skin that I will happily send to any potential recruits. Its a bare skin which any armour designs can simply be put over the top. This will be much easier than creating a new skin from scratch. As well as this I've produced 3 or 4 skins that're ready to go with armour over the top.

If the Khajiit and Wood Elves share similar goals then I'd be more than happy to co-operate for our mutual benefit! Thanks a lot for the support too, nice to have encouragement :)!

"Furries"

Oh Ragolution, I knew it was inevitable that this comment was going to surface and if I was willing to put money on who was going to bring it up I would've bet on you ;). At least I know you're being light hearted

Not quite sure how else to respond to this comment, except by stating I am not a furry, just thought it'd be interesting lore :).

Update

Decided to create 3 tribally armoured skins that I'll pm to anyone who wants them.

With regards to application make sure you send a pm as the roster should be kept entirely secret.

All are welcome, even those not yet whitelisted.

May you always walk on warm sands

- Credit to Emperor Bobby for this skin which he very kindly created

Ahaha, don't worry, paedo-bear has been contained for now ;)

Giving thought to redeveloping the faction into something either completely new (or semi completely new) or diversifying and allowing other races to join.

Thoughts and suggestions?

RanmaChan

Don't just be bandits?  Haha.  People may want to join, but may not want to be a bandit, rather a blacksmith, or a merchant, et cetera.

It might be a good idea to become a group of "outcast" races, like Wolverines said, add Argonians, or orcs/goblins.  Things humans/main races would normally have a problem with.  But those races still need a home!  Lol.
"If you don't expect gratitude, you'll seldom be dissapointed."

GeneralGold

I agree with RanmaChan. Don't just be badass cats that rob people, give some people a little more freedom of choice. Very nice job on this though, you did great.

I don't think I'm going to be playing in Aceon for quite some time. Therefore if any member wishes to claim control over the Renrijra Krin I'll happily pass over control. If not, then I guess the faction will be left to rot.

Its been an enjoyable pleasure playing with you all and I wish you fun in the future. Not sure when / if I'll be back but farewell

Walk always on warm sands :)

I have returned now and will be slightly active. However, I won't be too active until after exams are over, but for now I'll pop in for a little while every now and then.

Hope I didn't miss too much!
