Mana Cap: 300, with up to 100 recharging per day based on the amount of time he is in direct sunlight. Also mana costs double in low light conditions, being lit by torches, glowstone, lanterns, fire or lava, and all casting is impossible in complete darkness. Also in order to use any of the powers Quoril must be able to see something blue, the sky, water, wool, or lapis. In extreme cases he can draft off of his robe however this again doubles the mana cost and those effects stack.

Spells/Powers

Luxin Sword 30 mana: Creates a sword out of blue luxin, slightly harder than iron though not so hard as diamond it lasts for 10 ooc minutes at which point it dissolves.

Luxin Blades 20 Mana: Produces two small throwing daggers. These must be manually thrown. They are very sharp, but can be broken with any material higher than or equal to iron.

Luxin Shield 50 Mana plus 10 mana per hit: Creates a shield out of blue luxin that protects the front of the body. While this does protect from most blows it requires constant energy to maintain against a prolonged attack.

Luxin Blocks 75 Mana per block: Stronger than stone these blocks last as long as they can have sunlight at least once an ic day. They can be used as building materials. However if they are placed underground or indoors they may dissolve, if it is too deep, or they will be severely weakened. These will be represented by blue wool blocks

Finer Luxin objects 100 Mana each: Allows the drafter to create smaller objects, such as rings necklaces or any other types of jewelry as gifts. These have no real beneficial properties other than being a deeper blue than a sapphire and just looking pretty.

Finally a note on color wightsDrafters can only Draft so many times in their lives. The more they Draft, the more the Luxin which courses through their bodies changes them. Not only does Drafting damage the body, but it also affects the mind. As a Drafter uses more Luxin, small amounts of it build up in the eye around the iris. This band of Luxin is called the Halo, and it is by this that a Drafter's life span is deduced. If a Drafter uses too much Luxin, the iris will fill with Luxin, and any more drafting will cause them to "break the Halo". This means that the band of Luxin breaks and spreads into the whites of the eye. Once this happens, the Drafter is considered a Color Wight, also known as a Giist.
Becoming a Color Wight is the beginning of a descent into madness for the drafter. Happening gradually over time, the Color Wight will go under the influence of their drafting color; Blue Drafters will become hard and logical, Greens will become wild, and Reds will become creatures of rage. Color Wights often commit their bodies to their Luxin as well, coating or even replacing their body parts with Luxin. Color Wights are considered monsters and become outcasts from society, usually being hunted down.


[/size]I've eliminated all of the mage smith ones other than the blocks or the finer luxin. I thought those were ok since they were mostly for passive rp. I also eliminated that armor one because if the shield is available also then that is overpowered.

In charged form, it is an AoE spell, as spires of rock shoot up in a 10x10 block radius. Afterwards, he will gain a searing headache, as is the cost of all earth magics. (it can be cast after reading some words from his tome)

SPIRIT BURST: Mana Cost: 150; Gathers energy from the air around him, turning himself into a living ball of kinetic energy, and when all his mana has been depleted, he will send the kinetic energy out of himself, creating a blast of force and fire, turning his surroundings into an inferno. After using this spell, he will lose ¾ of his life force (health) and will be knocked out for up to 1 hour. He will only use this if he is desperate. (more of a ritualist spell, change it so that it's more... Sorceror friendly)

He can also use a few supportive spells:

HEAL: Mana Cost: 50 and he becomes physically weaker when he casts this. He can heal a teammate. By doing this he gives one ally some of his own life energy, each teammate heals two hearts of health. He is not an experienced healer, so it only heals minor wounds. Two hearts of health are taken from him and given to the chosen ally. To cast this spell he must be in physical contact with his teammate

WATERBREATHING: Mana Cost: 60 He has the ability to breathe underwater for a longer time, about two minutes, and if used properly, he won't have to breathe. After the spell wears off in about 15 minutes, he is susceptible to fainting out of the water. He will get very dizzy upon stepping back on land.

His mana cap is 150 and it regenerates every irl day.

For every spell she casts at the same time, the time of the longest spell (which becomes the cast time of all the spells) is reduced by five percent, up to ten percent percent.


Nixisphere - Four markings - Lupron must concentrate on the world around her for three minecraft days and nights. ( Fifty one minutes) A sphere appears around her exact location, a nixisphere. It has a radius of one hundred, equaling a diameter of two hundred blocks. Magical items lose their properties while in the nullisphere. Spells are not able to be cast in this area, excluding Lupron's spells.  Spells that would be flying in the air when the nullisphere is created cease to exist.The duration of the sphere is fifteen minutes.


Nullisphere - Four markings - Lupron must concentrate on the world around her for two minecraft days and nights. (Thirty four minutes) A sphere appears around her exact location, a nullisphere. It has a radius of fifty, equaling a diameter of one hundred blocks. All physical attacks within the sphere do not actually harm the victim. For example, if a large axe is hit down upon a watermelon, the watermelon is unscaved. The axe would simply bounce off. This sphere last five minutes.

Mind Blank: Everyone within a 5 block radius (With the exception of Hissaeldor) forgets what they were doing and, why they were doing it. It lasts 1 minecraft day and, at the next days dawn, they will remeber what it was they were doing. Mana cost: 50 mana

Blind spot: This spell allows Hissaeldor to move through someones vision unnoticed, save a short blur of movement. It only works if 3 or, less people are veiwing the area in which he will be moving. Mana cost: 1 person 50, 2 people 75, 3 people 100.

Blindness: Hissaeldor stops the flow of nerve impulses from the optic nerves to the brain for a short time (2 minutes Irl). The target is rendered blind for that time but, after it wears off their is no harm to the persons eyes. Mana cost: 25

Thrown Voice: Hissaeldor speaks but, his voice appears to come from a different direction. Mana cost: 10

Chains of the darkness (40 mana/chain): Each chain link is about 2 in long and 1 in wide with spikes protruding in the metalwork, and knife/spear blades on the ends. These chains are at between the striking power strength of iron and a poor steel alloy. While if redrawn the mana is reabsorbed into the system if the chain is struck on any of the weak-links (every 3rd link in the chain) then the entire chain shatters and dissolves into oblivion, with the mana lost and a period of 1 (minecraft) day before the mana is refilled (this is not cumulative. The number of chains destroyed does not increase the time to more than 1 day if more than 1 is destroyed, mana refills after each minecraft day). Each of these chains also is controlled like another appendage and is able to move about at will of caster.
Upon the effects of moonlight, each chain becomes extremely fragile, and if any link is stuck, then the chain breaks.




Sword of the reaped (50 mana/blade): chains form a crude sword that is chain on one side and thick brutal blade on the other. resembles half of a claymore (sword). If the back of the blade is struck, then blade breaks apart and dissolves into oblivion. (mana for this is always cost, as blade separates from the shadow to increase usability, so the caster must wait a day to regain lost mana)
upon moonlight, the blade is only able to block 30 direct strikes against it before shattering




Akuma Neko (100 mana): shadows form metal claws around hands and feet, as well as a metal blade cat tail and dark black furred cat ears. increases manuverability and make effective weapons yet make him have slightly feline tendencies (loves fish even more than he already does, and various other things) When in this form, he is extremely vulnerable. Taking upon the characteristics of a feline and the shadows, he is already weakened by natural weapons. If put in sunlight, he is weakened extremely, and will slowly start to have the shadows fade. This form lasts five OOC minutes.
upon moonlight agility is not affected by the spell


Chains of the damned (80 mana): one chain shoots out of casters shadow and upon making contact with the targets shadow, multiplies and shoots upward with clamps instead of spikes attempting to ensnare and trap the target. if successful the target is chained in place for 1 OOC minute, and upon end of time limit chains spontaneously disappear. they can also be called off at anytime before end of the spell by the caster.
upon moonlight chains only hold for 30 seconds OOC


Eternal guillotine (150 mana) two scythes are conjured out of the shadows for use by the wielder. they disappear upon lost concentration or upon being out of the casters hands for more than 15 OOC seconds. can also be dissociated by caster at any time
upon moonlight only one scythe can be summoned and it glows pearl white


Rigor mortis extinctum (200 mana + caster's life): upon a fatal wound that will bleed out, life-time is set to 10 OOC minutes in which mana pool can be ignored towards spells. however for each different spell used 1 minute is subtracted from life-time left. [note: this last one was just an attempt that if i were to die slowly, i wanted to go down like a badass and fight. if this gets shut out as a spell ill be fine with it :P]
