With cities appearing overnight and resources flowing from the earth for every being with two hands to grab a pick, everyone can see that to some degree, the economy in Aceon is far from a static thing. Emerging from the East, the Aceon Merchant's Guild is making the citizens a very simple offer. The eradication of instability simply for joining.

The new branch of the Aceon Merchant's Guild seeks to create trade between groups in order to promote a sense of community and a thriving economy. The usage of currency as opposed to barter is foremost among our goals. The dated concept of trading a few unweighted gold bars for stacks of wheat or wool is a quaint, yet outdated system that shows little distinction from one unit of measure to the next. By promoting the use of Denarii, the second of our goals is within reach as well.

While barter systems are often based on a 'what seems fair' basis, there is something to be said for having a generally cataloged cost per unit system in order. While supply and demand will always play an inherent role in the cost of goods, it's in the best interest of the market to develop a sort of 'ballpark figure' for trade to be based on.

In general, we at the AMG seek to become a backbone of the community, aiding and supporting existing factions as they continue to grow and develop, while promoting diplomatic relations and trade (of course regulated through an intermediary). Likewise, we aim to keep common goods available and affordable to the common man. We also seek to promote good will projects for those less fortunate, including a soup kitchen and community farm project.

In the end, our goal is that thriving businesses will arise, specializing in producing goods at their optimal speed so that they might be traded to those who specialize in other products. Ultimately, this will mean the reduction of self-contained economy and the availability of resources that end up more plentiful and more affordable for all involved.
