So, after moving all around campus with terrible wireless and faulty McAfee faults, i'm back with a steady supply of bandvich WOn't be gaming anytime soon though metinks.
Long version:
Mike Kern: just got my internets
Mike Kern: fucking rage was had
Mike Kern: hooked my comp up in my new dorm
Mike Kern: internet worked for a few hours
Mike Kern: then BAM
Mike Kern: didn't work anymore
Mike Kern: so i've had no internet and nothing in my room for like
Mike Kern: 2 days now
Mike Kern: and before that my internet was wireless and cut out constantly
Kirameki: Jeez...QUALITY hardware they've got, huh
Mike Kern: McAfee, etc
Mike Kern: you needed McAfee to log into the internet via some third party software which scanned if your McAfee was working
Kirameki: wtf? That's terrible
Mike Kern: and then McAfee's install got corrupted
Kirameki: So if you use a different virus scanenr you're SOL, huh?
Mike Kern: and McAfee is so terrible it doesn't supply you with an un-installer and you cannot uninstall the Agent without using command prompt
Mike Kern: nah, my school's rich so they give you copies
Mike Kern: comp students also get free keys for windows 7
Kirameki: Yeah but they pretty much force you to use thier scanner, huh
Mike Kern: just to get on
Mike Kern: i don't even use one
Mike Kern: and you can have a few installed, just might cause issues
Mike Kern: lol
Mike Kern: but yeah
Mike Kern: I was right though
Mike Kern: I told the tech guy that I couldn't un-intall all of McAfee to do a fresh install
Mike Kern: that's why it stopped working
Kirameki: Ugh. Gotta' love those virus scanners
Mike Kern: he went into command prompt and manually removed it and when I went to install it all it was fine so
Mike Kern: i woulda fixed it myself had they supplied one
Mike Kern: also
Mike Kern: they had a McAfee remover program
Mike Kern: when I ran it and it got to 100% uncompressing
Mike Kern: it'de be like
Mike Kern: CANNOT UNINSTALL, MCAFEE SOFTWARE DETECTED
Mike Kern: which is bootless cause it's a McAfee Software remover
Kirameki: That...what...I am confuse
Mike Kern: yup
Kirameki: It's designed to remove but can't remove if the software it's supposed to remove exists?
Mike Kern: yes
Kirameki: ....find who programmed that and smash thier fingers
