Arkansas dead birds falling from the sky mystery is now a headache to the Wildlife officials who been trying to trace out the actual cause where more than thousand birds faced such mysterious death. The dead birds fallen within the area of Beebe which really surprised everyone as no dead bird outside the area been seen .According to the Commission ornithologist Karen Rowe the dead birds having sign of physical trauma, which indicates that the birds can be hit by lightning. Some residents at first thought that those birds might have been poisoned. Its been speculated that the recent fireworks specially in the New Year eve may cause the Birds to leave their nests and died of stress.though the fireworks theory seems not working here as the time frame of the incident between 10:30 pm to 11:30 PM doesn't suit.In state Livestock and Poultry Commission lab some dead birds been taken for testing . The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality air test came back clean for toxins.

OZARK, Ark. (AP) - An Arkansas Game and Fish Commission spokesman says dead drum fish now cover a 20-mile section of the Arkansas River near Ozark.

Seven teams from the state agency visited the affected portion of the river Friday. Commission spokesman Keith Stephens says an official estimate of how many fish have died is expected on Monday, but he tells the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that the number is likely in the hundreds of thousands.

The commission determined the fish died in the river from a dam near Ozark to a bridge along State Highway 109 near Clarksville.

Stephens says some of the live drum fish were sick and will be sent to a lab at the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff for testing.

Drum fish are bottom feeders that eat other fish and insects.
