I have the new password for the server, it has not been reset. A lot near the spawn had been damaged, so please let me know if something is missing. Seems like the chests have been untouched.
Also, after we've been hit again by the lifeless griefers, we need to think about added defense.
-I've been thinking of making the guest account to where you can't build, water, or mine. I think that Default should make a better Idea. that way when some idiot decides to come raid our server, it can't do much other than curse at us. (also, if one of the registered people get banned, we remove their default account) this might help us out a lot.
-Remaking the server app questionnaire. I really think it doesn't do itself much justice, as most people don't read the rules before coming on. That in itself causes massive problems.
Suggestions:
1. If we could do something like Aceon does, in which certain players can't modify terrain unless given special rights (BR in Aceon), that would certainly solve a lot of problems.
2. The application process should probably include some obscure questions only found in the rules. And to prevent cheating off other people's apps, maybe it should become a PM process rather than a forum. That way the reply can be the password.

Stealing our LOA thread, now our BR applications??! Heretics!
Oh, since our city doesn't have a name, let's call it Aceon - Stronghold of Caphori. (sarcasm/)

In the ways of get rid of griefers great idea other than that terrible because it punishes the normal people. I left MC Aceon because its Minecraft with out the mining or the crafting for me so it's basically a 8bit walking and talking

I prefer to be original anyways. Mods will assign them to a certain class. in which they can register.
And If you'd prefer, I can change the LOA thread to not be a Mirrored copy of Aceon's, if not the original being a staple.

All you have to do is stick around for a couple days, and roleplay so people get to know you, and you will get BR in no time. Its called patience. Crow is doing it on the server wonderfully actually.
Edit: Actually he just applied for BR and got it.

I played Mc for quite a while even some people remember me and it was impossible for me to get BR so yeah

Crow just got it after a couple of days of playing, I don't see why it would be impossible for you to get, unless you came on so infrequently people forgot who you were, or when you did come on you didn't roleplay or talk with people.
But sorry, this isn't a thread to talk about Aceon.
I will say this about Terraria, a whitelist is really not enough in my opinion, though it is nice to have. It can weed out the people who don't know how to play, or who are unserious, but when it comes to devoted trolls it isn't enough. In the end its just a post that the person can lie their face off in. The BR system makes it so that new people who to put effort into actually joining the community of the server. Not too many trolls/griefers will go to those lengths, they will just find an easier server to join. The only problems Aceon has had, is when people with BR end up growing bored of the server and create havoc, but that can happen on almost any server with almost any system of checks and balances.

I did actually say on terraria i'm not sure who it was to now but i thought it would be better to make the apps more in depth because as you said trolls won't go to a lot of trouble to get whitelisted just to get banned, they will go for easier targets.
Trust me on this. Devote trolls can and will wait 2 little days to grief anything with a magnitude of beauty and creativity. I had a local server and my friend invited a guy from school onto it and after 2 weeks! I finally gave him access to build and mine. I believe that was the worst day of my admin life because as soon as we left he made a tnt cover over our couple of towns and cities and literally waited us to get on before activating it... Now either that guy is a REALLY devote troll or trolls are a lot more patient then we all think.
trolls are very paitent at least some are. most normal trolls won't wait that long a good way to spot a hardcore troll is to ask them to play trollface quest and ask them if they got frustrated if not then they are a hardcore troll trust me on this system it works.

Funny, we haven't had any griefers/trolls since, lets see.... The second server map which as in... Early 2011? So maybe a year?
I guess you guys can vote no one it all you want, seems to be working well for Aceon.
I am completely for this change as the application was completely flawed, to tell you the truth I got in without reading any of the rules and having pretty much no RP experience or ability just common sense. If Caphori wishes to become more respected by the outside community of HGN we need to raise our standards hence why this kind of referendum is crucial to not only protecting us from griefers but also raising our status.
