Didn't Russia buttfuck Poland for most of WW2? I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Poles were furious at being blitzkrieged and then the Russians chased the Germans out and occupied Poland and their occupation was as bad/worse than the Germans.

Lol, yeah, generally USSR invaded Poland too, then made the <can't remember the name>-Molotov pact.
And Russian occupation was bad when Stalin was alive, after that it was better. In 1980-something you could live normally with 30 dollars. For serious.
And yep, John II got beaten up, and if Sigismund III wouldn't mind putting Ladislaus IV on the throne (which he didn't), we'd have Russia allied.

The communists were in some cases more violent and abusive than the nazis, however, since they were "The good guys", no one did anything until it was too late.
