I have said my piece, and made my stance is well known, all I ask now is a bit of a fair explanation.

I think that's been given.

Let's take into account his actions right now.
During this entire reboot, most mods at LEAST gave their two cents worth of thoughts to this process, debating and questioning. You ushered me to do this faster, and acted as a Seraph's/Devil's Advocate. James came up with half the ideas to change. Vels has taken over the Roster, and improved it/updated the character thread. Paradox helped (or tried to help, one of the two, debatable) keep drama in the forums to a minimum during this time, of which there was a fair amount (some in thanks to me). Crow, who was *still* inactive for too long a time, did vent his concerns and place some good points despite his overall tone. Steven has put up with my constant pestering him over the map, and bore it like a champ. Bastidon was absent for most of it, so the only reason he's going is because he's A: not around and B: doesn't do mod-related things asaik.

Syl has been pretty much silent (and useless) this entire time, aside from his vote- only suddenly piping up when his modship was removed. Why wonder? He's dead weight. End of story.

I can make peace with the notion that Syl does little as a moderator, and by that token is removed for the same reason bastidon was.

So, this thread has certainly gotten out of hand.   However, as Syl does seem to be the only mod that anyone is truly questioning I decided to impose a compromise. 

Right now, Kami is the only mod I know for CERTAIN is bent on taking Syl off the roster and all of the concerns she has listed are completely valid.

VonXeno, however, has obvious reservations about her decision on his removal.

I don't really care either way, but to be fair I'm giving Syl the benefit of the doubt in this one, especially since this is the type of matter that should have been resolved in its entirety, INCLUDING taking the opinions of the removed mod into account, before it was officially done.

I haven't been able to get ahold of James, but even if he voted no in the matter we'd still be tied.

(I'm not counting Steven because I don't think this is a matter that he needs to waste his time on, Tom and Plunger are only backups, and Roy asked to be removed so I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it is up to the four of us).

So, this is what's going to happen:

I'm adding Syl back onto the roster, but only as a Trial Op.  He'll have exactly one month to prove to us that he is still fit to be a Basic Op after which time I will promote him back to the position.  If not, he'll be PERMANENTLY removed as a mod without any further question, a decision that will, of course, be approved by all active mods.

But, do keep in mind:
1) It doesn't mean you can do whatever for the first two weeks and suddenly start working in the second half of the month.  Your removal CAN happen earlier if all the mods agree.

2) Even if you are promoted to Basic Op, it doesn't mean we still won't be keeping an eye on you.
