Key Terms


Acrobat: Morvin, from a young age, trained to be as acrobatic as possible. He would often perform parkor actions when he was younger and held a few speed records for climbing towers from the outside.

Crippled: After a chance encounter with a giant worm, Morvin lost his left hand and right foot, rendering him unable to climb or even run close to as fast as he once did. Where he once had a foot and a hand, there is a peg and a nub. Walking on the peg leg is highly uncomfortable for him, so he has slowly gained weight and lost much of his muscle.

Shieldsmith: With his legs out of commission and only one hand to speak of, Morvin took to the trade of blacksmith, and more naturally fell into the roles of creating armor and shields.

Mage Hatred: Morvin blames the corruption of magic for drawing wurms to the Caphorian plane. Ever since his accident, his life has hinged on helping any anti-Magic crusaders and anyone who so much as mentions fighting against magi.

Lightning Reflexes: Attributed to his acrobatic background, Morvin very often dodges arrows or spells merely by hearing the sound they cause while rushing through the air. Although this reflex is now dulled, Morvin does his best to twitch out of the way of projectiles.

Lampooned: Morvin was hung out to dry after his injury and has not been able to recover his reputation. He is generally regarded as a coward, although he'll argue it until he's hoarse. Since then he has become overly boastful.

Saintly Butterball: Morvin is a sucker for sob-stories. It doesn't matter who you are or what you do; if you tell him a story that makes him cry, he'll do everything he can to help.


Background


Morvin's got a fairly underground history. In circles that reguard parkor as a great feat, he was once spoke of as the most agile bastard this side of the ocean. That was long ago, as you can assume. At the age of 22, Morvin fell into an open mineshaft and caught a ledge on the decent. As he began to return to the surface, he didn't hear the crushing sounds of a giant wurm. The wurm surged up the chasam just as Morvin clambered over the lip of the shaft, shearing off his foot with its powerful teeth. Morvin screamed in pain and was nearly helpless. It was all he could do to roll out of the way of the next strike, goring his hand between the wurm and a nearby boulder.

He has lost much of his passion since then, and only seems to do smithing out of routine. After doing spectacular acrobatics most of his life, Morvin merely wants something to do as he waits for the day he dies.

Morvin is most recognizable by his peg leg and blacksmith's apron.
