We don't actively talk about warez\pirating at HGN. You cannot get a "legal" version of gmod without paying for it. There are some services out there that allow pirating of games on steam but you will not be able to play multiplayer. Just buy garrysmod, it's cheap and really not that big of a deal.

Boy, only 14 euro for The Orange Box. IF you say it's too expensive, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Besides, GMod is 8 euro, so it's about 22 euro to spend. Looking at other titles sold at Steam, it's pretty much for free.
I hope you're not going to ask for smaller prices for students (totally happened at GoG).

Gmod 9 is fee, but Gmod 10 isn't.

9 is a mod for Half Life 2 anand is no longer supported. 10 is a stand alone game that we use to play our servers.
