Brotherhood Captures Bunker! Enclave Driven Out!

Brothers and Wasters, we bring good news. It is our pleasure to announce that the Enclave unit that had been stationed in the bunker beneath the gas station has now been forced out of the area. While this is by no means an ultimate victory, it is none the less another successful step forward in reclaiming the wasteland and rebuilding humanity. Sadly this battle was not without its losses. Equerry 01 Lupin Rose lost his life in combat against the Enclave after his heroic efforts saved the lives of every other member of the unit. He has been granted a posthumous 3-rank promotion in honor of his deeds, and has been immortalized in the Brotherhood Archives as Knight Lupin Rose.

However, we cannot tarry upon the grievances of those we've lost. We must continue to push forward until we have achieved total victory against the Enclave oppressors. Now that we have retaken the town and the bunker beneath it, we have opened our doors to wastelanders who wish to assist our righteous cause through donations and information. To our Brothers in the Commonwealth, there's one thing we've quickly realized in the short time we've been in New England: It's that it's good to be good to wasters. Provide them with assistance when possible, and they will provide us with the technology we desire. While we understand that we cannot help every unfortunate wastelander that comes our way, we should none the less do so when possible and when convenient considering our own resources.

So far this has worked in our favor. We have acquired 19 drained microfusion cells, 2 laser pistols, 2 handheld radios, 1 stationary radio, and piles of useful scrap since taking the bunker. All of these items have been obtained through wastelanders whom we have aided in some form or another. Much of this content has been donated, including one of the two laser pistols (the other which was purchased for a small sum of caps).

Our message to wastelanders is simply thus; if you help us, we'll help you. If we help you, help us too. We will mutually benefit from the deeds of one another and in the end, the New England Commonwealth will be a better place for all of us. Do not be afraid of us--unless of course you choose to make us your foe. The Brotherhood is not a group of petty bandits. We will not rob you of technology unless your goal is to wreak havoc. We appreciate donations, but if necessary, we understand the wasteland is a harsh place, and we are willing to trade caps or supplies in exchange for technology. From the most powerful plasma weapons, to a meager USB drive, every little bit helps. You know where to find us, and we deeply appreciate your help.

In other news, the Brotherhood recently took part in an assault against a very large mercenary camp threatening the safety of Storms' End with recent attacks. During a counter assault spearheaded by Senior Paladin Spades Neil, one wastelander was killed, and several others friendly combatants were wounded including Knight Zack Thornton who is currently recovering from mild injuries. Throughout the battle, Spades frequently put himself in the line of fire to administer medical attention to downed wastelanders in order to keep them alive until proper medical treatment could be made. The battle ended as Spades moved in to flank the Mercenary Commander, who was firing on the wasters from a sniper's tower. After evading enemy fire long enough to get inside the camp, Spades used his superior marksmanship to fire an AER9 shot, which struck the enemy mercenary in the neck.

The mercenary fell to his death, where a modified laser rifle, medical supplies, and an amazing sum of 15,000 caps was discovered in his possession. The caps were divided up by Spades. 3000 to Jenna Rodriguez who managed to stay in the battle to the end, 5000 to Caso who drew enemy fire and was very seriously wounded--yet still fought on to the end, and finally another 2000 to Glen Pink who at the last minute of the battle took a devastating wound to the chest. Fortunately he survived long enough to be evacuated just before the battle was finished. Spades later met him at Storms' End to give him his share of the loot.

Among the items found at the camp included food, medical supplies, scrap metal, and various ballistic firearms and ammunition. The Brotherhood took only the laser rifle found on the site and a few medical supplies left over. Spades also took 5000 caps off the mercenary for the Brotherhood for their own uses. It will be pooled into the Technology Acquisition Fund, which rewards those who stumble across tech but cannot afford to simply give it away.

Senior Paladin Spades had this to say; "I am optimistic about waster relations. If they're willing to aid us in our mission to secure technology, we will aid them in their quest to survive. Everybody wins."
