Time has passed since the heroes have obtained the power of Excalibur, the blade of radiant light. Ventiera is left in uncertain peace as the blood mage attacks are staved by the power of the holy blade. The blood cultists have gone quiet, their leader becoming but a mere shadow around town, picking very few fights, mostly scouting, waiting, watching. The heroes relax, dabbling in their own business for a while, a welcome distraction from the constant battling against evil forces. This, however, was not meant to last for long...
Their joyous break from conflict is abruptly shattered by a symbol, a beacon, that can only mean certain catastrophe for Tuul... and what a revolutionary catastrophe it will be.

The truth unveiled, the legend retold. All because of one man's greed, one man's lust for power.
Tuul has been hiding a dark secret all this time, according to Loremaster Surge- Masamune, the true other half of Osafune, and Excalibur's twin. Kept hidden due to its ability to possess and steal souls from its wielders, its power is truly mighty and fearsome, and certainly a death wish to whom would wield it. This did not stop Paradox, the Tuulian advisor who showed his true colours on this day. Despite the effort of Kyanite, Aedian, Dracobones, Roc, and Pidep, Paradox infiltrated the cursed vault locked in Tuul's basement, making off with Masamune and nearly killing the High Mage in doing so. Surge's final plea as the heroes, disheartened, separate...
"Find Paradox...and put an end to him."
For there is no salvation once Masamune has attuned itself to a soul...

The sky, if anything, will always be full of colour. The deep blue of day, the orange and purple blend of twilight, the night sky, an obsidian blanket with diamond holes. Even stormy skies, while grey, possess a colour.
We could learn a thing or two from the sky.
