At about 3:39 PM local time, a CE patrol had spotted a burning wreck in the dunes of what appeared to be a small convoy.

Comprised of a van, a car, and a truck with an improvised trailer, the convoy was estimated to have been assaulted hours earlier. Several dead bodes were scattered around the wreckage, suspected to have been shot by bandits. Due to the size on the convoy, it is suspected that several mode people had escaped or are in custody.

Authorities note this as one of several bandit attacks, caused by an increase in bandit motivation. Large groups of these criminals have roamed around the desert looking for potential targets such as this, and most succeed. Their habits in crime have cost valuable lives and money, along with great tragedy and loss for the victims' families.

Local authorities have promised to increase desert patrols and security.
The bodies of the deceased have been identified, and the families will be notified.
