C.E. Soldiers Almost Caught in Large Explosion *Gerian News Only*

April 7th, 2356 AD

Today around 6:25 PM, a local bar in Gerian was leveled to a mere crater due to an explosion caused by what local authorities say was C4, traces of C4 were found upon the rubble, also the explosion was caused due to a large ammunition deposit under the bar. Two Soldiers by the names Captain Clayton Jones and Corporal Desin Vertisen escaped the explosion just before it killed both of them, many citizens were also harmed by the explosion, luckily, none were killed. Sadly, before we had a chance to speak to the Captain, he had already left the area.

Corporal Desin Vertisen had this to say -
"A woman had requested help from myself and Captain Jones. She led us down to the basement of the Sandy Bar in Gerian, where we discovered a weapons cache. This weapons cache, was in fact "bait" for us."
We then asked the Corporal how he was trapped, he had this to say also -
"Well, once we were distracted the woman locked us in the damn basement. Jones used a charge to blow the door, when we exited the basement we came to a realization that the woman had indeed set some form of charge. The whole damn place was up in flames. We managed to make it out the window in time. When we made it out, we got all the civilians to vacate the area, however one man was caught in the blast.  I took him back to a home where the owner helped to sort him out. He was severely injured, however when I left he had regained consciousness. His face was severely burned."

We have gotten many reports from contacts around Desertia, sadly we had to reach our neighbors in Juriah by foot. They have also had the same problem recently, according to other reports, an announcement was made across Desertia and all of it's towns, cities, and villages.
