As XEM's local numbers dropped significantly, the board of local chiefs has agreed to address the problems directly by offering incentives for new DETS members.

According to a report from the Trading and Commerce branch, XEM will now offer direct financing for all new DETS members,
Quote...granting a lump-sum of 1,500 mesi of starting capital for all new traders.... so that they may revive the withering economic times....

The new approach has drawn considerable fire from current DETS traders, who criticize the chiefs' decision which will offer an unfair advantage to newer traders which the current society says that it has never received. Despite their pleas, the board has disregarded the possibility of incentives for current members.

This comes on the heels of a new tax on DETS traders, aimed at continuing the operation of basic facilities on the planet by taxing current traders on a weekly basis based on their qualification and DETS level.
