Ive been thinking about opening up a Anime forum, since last year, im interested in what you guys think of the idea and who would use it from HGN. This project will be separate from HGN, probably part of a BIGGER global network, with HGN in it, kinda what im doing with Moddit on the side.

Uhh... I don't know if it's the same where you people live, But here, We have 'Animax'. Which includes EVERYTHING anime related.
That's still Anime...
Animax is only shown in America, and some european countries... we don't have it here in the UK.

Catagories vary, theres many out there, Romance, Action, Comedy, Social, but they mostly all intwine with each other.
Romantic Comedies are quite popular, zero no tsukanie, love hina etc come under that.
Action, perhaps gunslinger girl, helsing, elfen lied etc
Social Comedy, that would be lucky star hands down.

Yeah i hate that with megaupload, the limits are annoying but it's ok quality, you can watch about 3 episodes (20 mins) within the period though, so it's not all that bad.

I just bought 001-007 of Black Lagoon from Chapters (120 bucks),and a friend picked up the 4th book of Gunsmith Cats Revisited.
Also, just read Gantz 1-6. vary good series.

Exactly Lucidus. Alot of Anime out there is for adults, like Deathnote, Bleach is more of a teenage audience, Dragonball z, in my eyes is little more than a poorly made cartoon for kids.

The only time I watch any TV is when I watch Communist News Network or Fox or hell even those lying bastards on MSNBC! But thats a different story. Meh I did like Inuyasha for a time being but all animes follow the same path.. The character meets some girl they are all shy and shite and then he gets super strong/powerful.

DBZ was an anime before Funimation turned it into a cartoon, much like One Piece, and most anythin else shown on the , key word, cartoon networks. Digimon, Pokemon, etc, all animu.
This is technically speaking. I generally agree with toons being for kids, but anime for older audiences, not so much. Chapters (book store) has it's stuff seperated from Everyone-Mature, on different sides of the shelf. (depth wise, not length wise). I wouldn't o tell a 10 year old to read them some Gantz, but like video games, anime with adult content and manga with adult content shouldn't be sold to younger people.
What i'm trying to say is, You don't have a category called "Games" which are for kids, and "Video games" which are for adults.
All gloops are glops but not all glops are gloops.

I watch Anime on Animefreak. Google it, probably the best site for watching the stuff. It's free also, and has a huge selection of complete anime with English subs / dubs.

That's kids Anime, not Teenager/Adult Anime, of course things like Pokemon are aimed at kids, but things like DeathNote or cowboy bebop arn't.

It's all about moderation. Some people get really overboard with Anime. It's annoying because people get steered away from it due to the fanbase of Anime, when they are missing out on such great stories and characters! Anyway, I don't watch Anime much but I'm watching The Big O right now. It's really awesome ^^

there's still the danger that when one of the reactor's explode that it goes over to tokio the radioactive cloud.

No huge loss. Pokemon was good in its first season, suffice to say it sucks now. Naruto was never good. I would never condone the loss of life, but in this situation, I don't really care. Sorry. :-\

I refuse to list all the full animes series I have watched here (it would be about 50 yards on paper) So, instead, I will list my favorites. (as close as I can in order from BEST EVAH to I'll watch it again)
Darker Than Black (Loved it from start to finish. Will admit, it was a little confusing at first.)
Claymore (Was slightly disappointed with the ending, but still a good one.)
High School of the Dead (Didn't think it would work considering the Zombie theme, but it was put together really nicely)
Soul Eater (The comic relief was a little annoying, but the story is good. I regret the last episode, that is the only thing I hated of this anime)
I'm still watching anime in my free time, and my current series I'm working on is called "Tengen Toppa Garren Laggan" (Don't think I misspelled anything. I'm too lazy to check.) So far, it's decent, but not too... Straightforward. The main characters are using advanced techniques from the start and they don't even wonder how they did it. My only problem with this one so far.
